Tomorrow I’m gonna try a Carolina rig, dropshot, with a Ned rig as the dropshot weight, and a swim bait as the worm.

I am 46 yes old and just started fishing. I can't afford the abu garcia's, lews. You know the up scale poles. I was looking at the abu garcia Maxx. The one badge picked out so I was excited to see the use of it. Naw. After what I saw. I think I pass. Looks like garbage. So I guess I stick with my cheap zebco, Shakespeare poles. Thank you. So what you do is have the “guest” pick everything blindfolded and they get all the random colors and then you go back and pick the same lures in the color of your choice because you sir, are not blindfolded… it’s the 1v1 blindfolded vs. non-blindfolded challenge 😆

I caught my PB today on a black and blue Chatterbait with a Yum black and blue craw trailer. The biggest I caught before today was maybe 1 pound, the monster I caught today was 6 easy. I didn't have a scale but I got plenty pics for Instagram lol. So awesome first cast on my new Xfinity combo and I catch a 5+ pounder and my first real legit bass. I had the drag almost maxed and she was pulling it still and it was a hell of a fight, I've never experienced something like that before.

My grandmother when she was alive used to catch everything on a small zebco similar to that on the same medium rod and rarely ever missed a hook set. Including a 20 pound catfish once. You guys are getting spoiled with your gear lol.
You guys should take turns on the blind fold....pick out your lures and have a competition between the both of you on who can catch the first biggest, the most fish with your lures picked out while blindfolded

Maybe do a challenge where you pick numbers out of a hat. You have to pick the 16th rod, then 16th column of baits to choose from, etc...
@Lojo , those types of rods are for beginners looking to move up from kids size rods. They are built for easy casting , that’s why they cast a mile.
I have an idea. Fish with the oldest lures you can find. Surely you and Andrew have some older tackle. Maybe an old rod and reel but I feel like that's been done a million times. Fish with some of the baits that have been laying around for a while.
Have you ever tried a handy capped fishing challenge where both opponents are strapped to wheel chairs like a safe pier fishing challenge. Both apponents shop and go fishing with what you can reach only!

The funny thing is that the bottom piece of the spin caster reel wasn’t there yea it worked but the reel didn’t have the bottom piece it probably broke off before ayo even grabbed it

Hey challenge for you you should go to eBay Craigslist etc and see if you can buy retro lures and tackle from before all the tech was used in making lures and see how you do
Fidhing challenge, pick someone from the parking lot or clerk to pick 3 baits you have to fish with.
I like Badgers choices, even the colors! That is a spincaster combo, but doesn't look as good as a Zebco.
You need to set a 4 x 4 posts over by the pond. Drill a bunch of holes for rods that fail. You’ll have a Failed Rod Tree
