I bought the 3.3 Kings fishing one 2 days ago, at $299 it was an insta-buy! Has a huge weight rating which suits me fine as a heavier lad and the rudder system is awesome too.
Thanks for the review! I'm a similar size, and I've been concerned about stability, so it was great to see that this kayak can work for me. One thing I wondered about this kayak is the foot rest. It is great that it adjusts, but it looks like a small surface area for your foot that might get uncomfortable after a while, especially with bare feet or sandals. I'm torn between this one and a Dragon Pro Fisher 280 on clearance at BCF for 550.
I had no issues but I think all the ones you mentioned even the nextgen9 are very similar and will do a similar job. But thanks for watching and best wishes for your kayak decision. God bless
@@ChrismediaAlbury Thanks for the reply. I'm leaning toward the Kings. With the Black Friday deal it is a little cheaper and with a better seat than the Dragon Pro.
I like that boat -- it gives you what you need and not a lot that you don't. My yak -- a Perception Pro 120 -- is similar in that way. It came with those flexy plastic gear tracks, which are OK for a lot of things but too flimsy for a trolling rod holder. I just took one track off and replaced it with aluminum, which is rock solid when teamed with a Down Easter metal rod holder.
Hello. Thanks for the video. I would like to know, how much do you weight? Cause i'm pretty heavy, i'm 150 kg actually. It's to know if this kayak can support me. Thanks ✌️
Hi Bruno, I have been meaning to do a salt water run with the out riggers but with the crazy times we live in and the festive season behind us I will do one soon. This particular Yak feels pretty stable and I may just remove them all together, I think the hull design on this yak and similar others tends to work well as they are. But thanks for watching I will make time to do it.
@@ChrismediaAlbury Thanks Chris I look forward to as I am a big guy and I am not sure whether to go for the 2.85 or the 3.3 I look forward to seeing your videos
In reality i prefer the kayak with foot pedals in order to manage the rod with my hands.... Of course everyone can have their own preference!!!! I notice that you have Greek flag on the kayak!!! So you are brother Greek? Nice video thanks for sharing!!! Have good time every time!!! I hope to meet you closer when you came to mother land!!! Best regards from Hellas (Greece)
ELA RE MALAKA!!!!! Put the plugs in so no water gets in.. LOL... Good review mate, stay safe out on the water Brother... PS.. Wear ya Bloody Life VEST !!!! lol
@@motorbrightlol… I’m sure you can find your size somewhere, maybe BCF... I had a look online last night, kings don’t sell the single kayaks anymore.. I was considering getting one..
hi chris if you dont mind me asking ,what was the brand of the unstable kayak you mentioned .mine is unstable using high seat .i have to use low one or tip .
Hi Bluegum , I can't say too much but I have another video on my channel with the stabilizers on it. I had to answer a few questions like that and I don't want a legal battle. Hope that helps.
Hi chris i am close to buying a kings .does it take on any water in a side chop .it doesnt seem to have much freeboard .should i consider a hand pump .
Hey Bluegum, look with sit on kayaks you take out the plugs it comes with so it levels out even if you get water in them. All moulded yaks have about 6 or 8 plugs which I always remove because a little water can drain out or level out while on the water. If you leave them in your yak can flood in some chop and you can be in trouble. Hope that helps but please do what is best for you, make your own decisions that suit your needs. God bless
@@ChrismediaAlbury thanks chris good advice i just watched a vid on you tube where a side chop filled a kings .whiting fishing in kayak husband and wife .
Hi mate.. FYI that metal bar isn't a stabilizer. It's supposed to be longer than the bar you have and it hangs out to one side. It's where you mount the electric motor. The way you have it in this video is achieving nothing. Good video mate. I'm off to get one tomorrow for 249 as the sale ends at midnight the 20th. Getting the mesh chair as well. Sweet as. .
Hi Iron, thanks for that info. I had outriggers from my old yak mounted on there just as a precaution when I went out in the salt water just in case it got a bit rough, turns out this yak is pretty stable but yes a motor can be attached as well as outriggers for stabilisation. Enjoy your new yak and thanks for watching.
@@ChrismediaAlbury Yeah that makes sense seeing as you were mentioned how unstable it was. The need to attempt to use outriggers just shows how bad it was. If you do think about putting a motor on the bar make sure you put a screw through the plate and into the bar to stop the round bar from spinning.. It's 12:42am. I'm like a kid at Christmas. The shop doesn't open for another 7 hour 34 minutes and 16 seconds and 13 thousands.
This was a good review of the kayak. I really like the price range. I'm looking for a second kayak to have. I see you are a big dude & It is good to see that this kayak is Big Boy friendly. I am a chubby fat dude with big very very extremely wide feet sz15 6 E wide with chubby fat wide toes that are equally straight across making my foot very very wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe. I'm wondering how the footrest would work out for me since I have very extremely chubby wide feet. I like your flip flops man. I am a huge fan of flip flops cuz that is the only Footwear that will barely and i mean barely fit my foot because of my toes are wider than the flip flops. I also like how you was kayaking Barefooted 👣 styles cuz I have to kayak Barefooted 👣 style too. I never thought because I am a chubby fat dude with very chubby fat wide toes that are equally straight across that I will have to live my life barefooted 👣 Style. I don't mind being Barefooted 👣 & my wife doesn't mind either cuz I do a lot of things 95% of the time barefooted 👣 cuz there are some days I cannot get my flip-flops on my feet at all & there are some stores that my wife does not want me going to Barefooted 👣. My wife love seeing my chubby fat wide toes in flip flops because both of my little toes hang off the footbed of the flip-flops because of my toes being straight across. She said my toes look so cute like that for some reason. I'm married to a crazy wife but I love her and I do anything to keep her happy. Apologize for rambling but this was a great review of the kayak. Thank you for sharing this video.
Thanks for watching my video. I think you stuffed up badly my friend because I have had a steak kayak which nearly cost my life in Western port when I was living in Victoria. The thing flexed and nearly buckled in half because they are made from ldpe not hope. They are junk as others have on their reviews and no comparison but please feel free and put your review up of the mako which is made from low density polyethylene, under heat and harsh conditions they are weaker. Best wishes and feel free to show what you have.

Is it stable when you in stand up position?
Not sure because I am not stable on my feet so I am no good at standing up. I have seen others stand up with no problem but they are not as fat as me.
