- WHAT GRADE DID WE GET?!!! In this episode, I reveal the grades I got from the cards I submitted during Collect-A-Con LA. Did we get a 10?
The cards we submitted were the OP-05 SP Nami, the OP-01 SP Nami, the OP-04 Manga Sabo, and the OP-05 Signed Luffy.

I haven't graded any of my OP yet, but I've heard that Beckett is the way to go for OP grading. The cards generally get good grades, and Beckett has both subgrades and that sweet black label which makes that value soar. Also, since a BGS 10 is typically more valuable than a PSA 10, I'd recommend going BGS first, and if any cards return as a 9/9.5, they still have a high chance of being PSA 10s.
That’s seriously good advice. Thank you. I might do that on my next round of grading even though I signed up for the PSA collector club 😅 it’s mainly for the exclusive card anyway haha
Beckett is still expensive imo, but the grading is harder than psa since they give it out like candies, and with the way one piece tcg is going the popularity is making the submissions into bgs highly pop-grade control so getting a 10 is hella hard
One Piece cards overall are good quality. I've gotten 10's on the mine I've submitted. I will say you will have better chance of getting One Piece card a Pristine or better at BGS than say a Pokemon card. However, BGS does grade pretty strictly. I once thought a card i submitted deserved at least one 10 subgrade and it got all 9.5. I would only submit your best cards there especially centering wise. I heard PSA is more picky on surface but BGS cares more about centering. I've sent many cards to PSA. Also, when you submit to another company I heard it's best to remove it from the slab to new grading company as it's harder to get upgrade in grade using cross-over services
Oh wow! Thank you so much! This info helps a lot! Yeah if I’m ever going to cross grade, I might wait until later on. I’m too scared to take it out of the slab. Also, I don’t know that each grading companies search for certain things more than the other. I appreciate that info.

its weird that the tracking would have the grade on it. seems like a good way for someone who knows what it is to swipe it before you get it back
It was the tracking from the third-party site I used to get the tracking. I may not go with them again and just go direct. Maybe then I wont see the grade if I check the tracking.

I like the label more on the BGS slabs but I feel like it is "easier" to get a 10 with PSA

Yeah I’m super happy with that. Makes them more valuable to me
With blue bottoms only certain cards have pre errata changes, (Nami, Mihawk, Law, Luffy, etc) but theres different printings for blue bottoms and it can be impossible to tell whether the box is alpha errata with the major changes or beta errata with a slight change, honestly don't think its worth the huge price difference imo but would enjoy more romance dawn openings😁
Oh ok yeah that’s what I thought. I didn’t think they had a difference for every card. I just know the blue bottom compared to white bottom. I think with those, it may be wiser to just hold the blue bottom and not open. Also… I got romance dawn coming soon 😬

What are your favorite alt arts in the game? I just pulled the EB01 Killer & Kid Parallel and it's SO CLEAN. That plus OP01 Yamato SEC Alt are my favorites
Ooooh that’s a good question. I love the SP set from OP05 and I’m glad they’re bringing that style back in 08 for the SP. Alt art Yamato Leader is one of my fave and I think the alt sec Luffy in 05 is underrated haha. Of course… I love all the Mangas hahaha

the prices of these cards really shock me. Im starting to collect which sets do you recommend
If you’re just collecting, I think it’s best to start with the newest set because that has the best potential of going up for you in the future. Older sets may still go up but it may be slow. Really the best cards to collect are the popular characters so look for those.

@@strawhatbrother Nah, They crack it only if its the mininal grade you want. Never had a Re-graded slab sent to beckett get damaged from them re-grading it

Where you go for the grading and the sick cards?! The barcodes tell you what the grading is based on. Center, edges, condition etc
