I wish to watch more and more such great videos on your channel. CHEERS!
Woooow LFGGG
Spectral Shaper is such a good Soothe 2 alternative. Someone should really team up with Oeksound and make a solid proper-use tutorial.
I love how you're just having fun with it!
Hey Jesse have you ever tried the NOB controller? Plug and play, place your cursor over any parameter close your eyes and turn the precision knob. I keep one hand on my Mac mouse pad and my other hand on the NOB controller super fast way to mix no eyes needed! Thanks for the great vid!
That sounds amazing I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this!
are those stems still online somewhere?
Not that I've been able to find :/
Thank you so much
Amazing thumbnail dude
is that modulation part in the official version?
Nice one man! Is your setup outside or am I seeing things?
Who edited that cover 😂
I've been going down a Jesse Ray rabbit hole for the past couple of days/weeks, trying to learn as much as I can from you, and then you drop this gem! Thank you, Jesse. I really look up to you
Wow! I am so happy I founded this channel. Great videos!
Keep doing more of these 🔥🔥🔥
Can I ask something? When I mix vocals I find the 2-4khz range to have resonances. However, due to the fact that this is where the “clarity” is, I don’t know if I should cut the resonances there? I feel like the vocals get muffled in a way
Approach Eq in the mindset of balance. If the vocal is sounding too harsh then maybe some of the lower frequencies are cut out too much. If it’s sounding too muddy then maybe you need to cut somewhere in the lower frequencies. Take away first. Don’t boost to fix issues with the vocal.
For sure! I go nuts cutting the resonances between 2-5khz. It's just really distracting when that area is uneven and "whistley" or "ringy." Generally, I love to use spectral shaper, soothe2, or an EQ (or a combination of some or all of those!) to clean that area up, and then I like to bring in some harmonic saturation or EQ after that to reimpose/restore some of the clarity, but usually in a different area (either above or below, or both!).
🏂 amazing album art. SSX Tricky did not reach enough people
