Thank you to all of you who watched and commented. Whether you liked, didn’t like or loved the film, what’s really important is that Black girl’s stories get written and developed into cinematic narratives. This story may not being for everyone and I’ve lived long enough to understand how race and politics play out on the American stage and I don’t really care about any of it. If this story gives one Black girl or boy, man or women hope in any small way to shine light on another way to heal oneself then, so be it. Thanks again for your comments. Good blessings to you all🧡
This so touched my heart. I love you Regina and Jeanne!!! 🫶 Bravo. I’m so proud of you Regina! Your speech at the end of the movie blew me away. LOVE IS OUR HIGHEST CALLING.
This story is a tear jerker. I waa fortunate enough, to have adopted a child who needed me. He is now 31 years old, & he bought so much joy to my life. These kids just need love. The system needs to be scrutinized & changed. 👏🏾
I did too. I'm only halfway through, and had to come to let my sis' dogs out. Needed a break anyway. This story is a heart grabber. I googled to find out about the hopefully happy ending cuz I just can't take it!
I didn't even hear about this movie, I was just scrolling through channels and decided to watch it. Haha I never watch lifetime but glad I did this time around. Really opened my heart and eyes to appreciate the people around you who love you. Makes you realize how bad someone else may have it. That's a true story of a warrior with a heart of gold! Made a cold hearted 25 year old man cry like a kid again.
This movie bought tears to my eyes. It's so incredibly sad. The system has to do better by these babies. We need more ppl like her mom working in the system.
I just finished looking at her story on Lifetime. Truly an inspirational true story. Thanks Lifetime for making this movie. Please make more movies like this. True stories
This movie was simply awesome. Everyone needs an advocate and someone to love them in this life. So glad Ms. Kerr was there for her for life. Beautiful people!
Heartfelt Story ❤Foster Care (Survival) I Was A Foster Child Separated From My 3 Brother And Sisters Through The Years We Connected But Two Adopted. I Have A Brother That I Will Be Meeting With This Month Its Been About 35yrs I Prayed Missed Him Daily. God Is Faithful
Omg I cried so much at the end of her lifetime story. 😭😭😭😭 I had a feeling it was based off a true story, but when I seen the actual pictures at the end, I couldn't help but cry. It's such a shame that so many children have to go through this. I also admire her strength to never give up!
I needed the ending. I think everyone that watched her story was needing that ending. It has my fiancé and I thinking about becoming foster parents. There are too many children that need love and compassion. Her story is seriously having us consider fostering and adoption.
She is gorgeous!! I'm watching the movie on the Discovery+ app, and was just sobbing! I had to stop it to come take care of my sis' dogs. Needed the break anyway. Just got to the part where they turned Ms. Kerr away. I googled to see if there was a happy ending. Better late than never!!! I'm SO glad she was able to be adopted, even if at 41. Everyone deserves to be wanted!
You rock Regina!!! So glad things turned out so good for you!! You deserve only GOOD things and you're a BEAUTIFUL PERSON!!! To those who abandoned you..THEIR LOSS!! You are amazing.

Great casting and script! I never heard of this until watching on Freevee last night. I couldn’t believe the Shelter head prevented her being loved over colorism and kept her in a PWI facility! So glad she was able to persevere.

I wish I could too, Kayla!
Wow! Regina Louise is a fantastic teacher, writer, human. Such an inspiration ❤

They refused to let her adopt the child (for a silly reason ) and then when the child grows up they put her in the street, absolutely logic!

Am glad she got her forever after
As a foster parent I know how broken the system is and how hard it can be to deal with traumatized children. Please consider opening your hearts and homes❤
