Have you heard the Kenny Rogers / Dottie West song "Anyone Who Isn't Me Tonight"? Old-fashioned country songs aren't the obvious choice for TV music or fanvid music - but the lyrics work really well for newlywed Lois and Clark - there's even a line "Your love has sent me flying and I'm higher than a kite." And there was a singer, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, who may not have been really "big" but her song "Complicated", would fit the end of season 2 to a T. (or an S, hah). It's about a woman's, well "Complicated," feelings about taking a friendship to the next level. Country Music has quite a few songs about that. "I Can't Fight This Feeling" by Becky Hobbs is not well known, but you can find it on TH-cam, and it also has a line about "we're gonna fly, better hold on tight" toward the end.
While their misunderstandings and missteps to getting to this point can be...painful to watch...there are a lot of more recent, similar relationship stories where there's a casual physical relationship going on the whole time they're trying to decide if they're really a couple. Lois and Clark didn't do that. They even spend a night on a tropical island - kind of a romantic setting - and snuggle together and have a romantic conversation and fall asleep - without doing anything more than kissing (because at that point the relationship is new, and still a little precarious.)
I'm old school, I love that he waited for her and that they were married first. It just makes it that much sweeter and special ❤
It sure does.
