Yes. That was a daunting task.; not surprising you were winded. Yesterday I was up to my eyeballs doing something similar with an Aloe Vera plant I had forgotten about. The pups were 4 times bigger than when I got the plant on clearance in February. That is one magnificent Paph. I don't think you've abused it. Orchids enjoy a certain amount of neglect, they are resilient to the core. And What a fantastic specimen to have in your collection!!

I grew orchids outside in the patio/driveway in Southern California with a south facing beach. There we had a micro sub-tropical climate. My biggest challenges were with insects, neighbors' cats, opossums, and birds. How do you manage these things? The cats would knock the plants over while exploring and the opossums would knock them over while searching for insects and grubs. Birds did the same types of things. Love your videos and thanks for sharing.
Hi James, thank you so much for tuning in to my channel. I have a number of cats at home and to be honest with you, they do no harm to my plants. I am really sorry to hear you are having a challenge with animals because that can be really frustrating. I hardly see birds in my garden and probably because of the cats. I have even placed feeders in the garden to lure birds to it and they still stay away dwl. You may need to secure the plants more effectively to precent them being knocked over by the animals. Hi Precious, I've enjoyed watching your videos and I have learned a lot from you. I have a few pots of the lady slipper orchids and one of them I have it over fifteen years and it gave me a lot of suckers and one spike this year, so I would like to know the first soil mixed you used before you repotted in your special soil mixed because it did well in it. I am going to try you new special soil mixed when repotting mine. Thanks for sharing 👍🏿
Hi Senorita, always a pleasure reading your comments. The first soil mixture was mainly soil mixed with very fine charcoal, I call it charcoal dirt lol. But it was a very heavy mixture and research has shown that tge paphs do better in a light mixture hence my reason for making that special soil mix. To my surprise, the mother plant that I repotted bloomed within 2 months after it was propagated so I can safely say my new soil mixture is working😁💃. Please let me know if you get better results when you use a similar mixture to repot your paphs. Thank you so much for watching, cheers and happy growing👍🙌🥰

Hi Sandra, thank you so much for tuning in. I have included peanut shells in the medium in a few of my videos as they aid in aeration. The solution in the sprayer consists of hydrogen peroxide and growphite. Again, this has been featured in a few of my previous videos that you may have missed😊.
