My best friend in the 70s would start singing "Bald headed WOman" everytime the Bee Gees "more than a woman" song came on and he seriously thought those were the lyrics. He was an idiot but my best friend so I never corrected him. This guy once borrowed my ELO tape and everytime he would call me or I would call him I would hear "Don't bring me down" playing in the background because that was his favorite at the time. So I pick him up for work one summer morning (his family was broke and he didn't have a car) and "Don't bring me down" was playing on the radio. He got excited and exclaimed "Who sings that!!! What's the name of that song!!! I love it!!" I just looked at him and said "You're joking right?" He wasn't. After HS he joined the military but was discharged years later for shooting off his left testicle in an accident and I am not kidding.
Honestly it took me buying the original Springsteen album Greetings From Asbury Park with the lyric sheet inside before I finally knew what that song actually said. When I bought I had never heard any version but Manfred Mann's
They all have their great moments...some of Bob and Tom are awesome, as well as certain John Boy and Billy...Look for the Camel Toe song on Bob and Tom...as well as the pussycat song
I stole this to use at my niece's play during intermission. I recruited several other parents & Uncles who were present under duress to join me. Someone told the director what we were planning to do & put the kibosh on it. Buzzkills!
