I know the chain saw us supposed to be the star of the show, but that little wood chipper blew my mind. I didn't know they made little ones. Game changer for me. 💕 Oh and the cross cut of ivy was fascinating. Didn't realize they got so thick
Wow you have some serious ivy in the U.K. Enjoying my coffee here in the U.S. watching 2 of my favorite lawn care professionals Acres lawn care and Quick Cuts. Amazing work as usual
That chainsaw did a brilliant job ( with your help of course). The clearing up takes the longest though. I felt sorry for Gary losing his biscuit. Another great job lads 🤩
Ivy grows like wildfire 🔥. Last Summer I’d to complain to my local council of North Ayrshire a few times about a big 🌲 across the street where the occupant was supposedly staying on & off which was a lie . It took a while for them to attend to it. It looked 👍🏻 this year. Nobody else was interested in doing anything about it. The council still have 3 things i complained about to attend to but that’ll wait till next year. Major operation on Monday which will take a couple of months to recover from. I ❤️ watching Acres Lawncare as it’s different from other ones. 😊
I have used a battery Stihl chainsaw and found it to do a good job cutting, Loved the chipper that you were using to mulch up the conifer and the ivy. Always loved how the battery on the chain saw have an indicator showing how much life/charge they have in them.
Hi from WA. They’re a good make of chainsaw and tools etc. The Ivy completely suffocated 3 trees!!😮that’s amazing. Great job again, looked really cold as well. Keep well.
Hi Alex & Gary, yes having a Chainsaw will now save your back, plus time saved, because hand sawing is slower! Looks Great, you 2 did a Great Job!! Homeowner should be Very Happy!! Yes Ivy Vines will kill anything, but never saw a trunk like this one, because I pulled them out when I see them wrapped around my Iris flowers! I have moved my Iris flowers in 2 different area of my yard...away from that bad area that get vines! Enjoyed watching your video! Have a safe & wonderful weekend both of you! Love from Central Illinois USA😎✌ ❤ 😺😻😼🐈⬛ Yes have 4 indoor cats & one wild feral cat outside
That chainsaw is a good make and you pay for what you get. It’s like cutting butter from the freezer with a hot knife. A job well done and conifers are quite thick as they sprout up. Well done lads x
That chainsaw really made a difference in the amount of time it took to remove the tree. It would have been cool to keep a small cross section of the trunk-incredible to see just how destructive ivy can be!
Marvelous job. Can I ask, do you think a 62 year old lady could handle one of those chain saws?. I try to maintain my 90 year old mothers garden and she has some huge conifers which are being choked by ivy. I thought if I just cut through the ivy near the roots it would help. I'm also going to remove some of the lower branches to make it easier to maintain. I wish you guys were local to Essex as I love your sense of humour and hard work. Would happily work alongside you and pay for the privilege.
Hello 👋 aww thank you so much 😊 Yes absolutely the chainsaw is very light . Have a look at the MSA120 it’s more of a domestic chainsaw but will get the job done 😉. One day we could be knocking on your door. That’s the dream haha 😀 Check out our very new funny TH-cam page ….. panduck sauce we have a short video up but plan to do more :)
Excellent job. My friend has a totally overgrown garden, which is walled in and everything has to go through the house and down some pretty dodgy steps. A chipper would be very helpful!
That awesome . It’s just the price of the tools , it’s very expensive but I have not charged my stihl batteries once from my own house, I charge at the customer with their permission of course so it is a lot cheaper than fuel,
I'm in MN, USA. What is that instrument you use to pick up the degree. It is a criss-cross rake with handles--it makes it so much easier to pick up debris.
Really enjoyed your video , should come with a warning , not to have ivy in your garden !! 😂 Love your sense of humour guys , which seems to help get you through the hard work 👍👍👍
Unreal with that ivy around the confier trunk 😳😳😳 great job done lads as usual, Stihl battery equipment is pretty good isn’t it? I’ve got all stahl battery gear apart from my mower which when battery mowers finally get good I’ll be buying straight away. The GTA 26 is a great little hand held pruner for tue small jobs you don’t want to knacker your secateurs or arms on using a saw as well.
Thank you 🙏. Its fantastic equipment :) I got the hula 86 and I’m loving it . Hoping to get some more equipment soon . I will have a look at the GTA26 thanks
Wow i didnt know Ivy can get that big 😳 The chain saw did an excellent job. Its a power house. I didnt realise the tree and Ivy would be that thick. Lots of bags to be taken away and gotten rid of. Looks a lot better cleaned up. Stay Safe my friends. Hope your sandwich was yummy Gary..lol ❤🙏👍❤🙏👍🤗
House I bought about 2 years ago has lots of ivy in several places. I have been using weed killer and a blow torch to get rid of it. Several trees we had to cut down were more ivy than tree.
Wisteria is a terrible invasive vine also. Left alone it can get runners inches in diameter, twist around each other to make a strong vine that destroys trees and all vegetation. Constant work to keep it maintained.
Hi Alex and Gary, The big chainsaw unveil. It done a great job as well as the chipper. Ive looked and couldnt find Ivy thicker than that. That was massive. Stay Safe my friends ❤🙏👍🤗
I don't understand why you leave a stump after doing such a beautiful job..I'm an older lady and when I helped take down a tree down in my yard ,I shovelled the dirt down around the stump to get it below ground level ,cut the stump off and then filled it in with dirt..it looked so much better than leaving a stump..it eventually rotted away faster because it was wetter under the soil and I filled in the spot with more soil.
because the most difficult job is removing the stump and roots. 😊if you plant flowers, it is not a problem, but if you are going to plant several concrete things that will grow over the years, it is necessary to remove them. especially as in this case when there is a small space.
That chainsaw really did a great job cutting down that massive tree and ivy. The clothing and boots they provided are very attractive. I really enjoyed this video. Thks guys. 🙂
Ooo manly equipment for manly men!❤😂 Gary needs a beard for those tools lol! Awesome job. I Thank God for you boys. Yours are the 1st videos I look for before looking at anything else. God bless you and keep you both safe! ❤❤❤
Santa (Stihl) came early for you this year. 😂 . Lots of very good products. Already proven their worth. Good job. Good video. Good editing. 👍. From Minnesota USA
great job guys and glad you got that chain saw for your jobs. just make sure you keep chains sharpen:) its the perfect saw in what you need to do. Now on to the pole chain saw LOL and then you will be set. 😂
Tremendous result. Someone should have saved that example of the ivy “stems” and the conifer clustered together to make a tray or something out of it. Nobody would believe it could even be a possibility for it to grow like that.
Boys if you ever needed a chainsaw this was the time for it. Thank you Stihl for sending it to you and thank you for sharing it on your video I enjoyed it immensely!!!💚👍👍👍
There's no saving them when they get that bad for sure, ivy can be a right pain😬 try and keep in the habit of using that chain brake, I know they've the extra safety button on battery saws but you never know. Not having a go but I've seen a few chainsaw wounds and they ain't fun or pretty. Take care 👍
Yeh I think it’s better to be safe than sorry. My mates a tree surgeon just the other week he was having his finger put back on. Accident happen but if you can do what you can to prevent then we should 😀 how’s your channel going bud
The chainsaw was perfect for this job, and to have the proper equipment to go with it was icing on the cake! Amazing job cleaning up the whole mess. Stay warm! I subscribed!
When finishing those cuts with the chainsaw, try not to push threw so much. Just feather it at the end. The chain brake is pretty quick and you're wearing chaps but still some danger with the saw moving so quickly.
Thank you,I told the tree folk ivy kills trees ,answer from them " ivy doesn't kill trees." That y I am constantly removing it from my garden I not stupid..I keep telling my neighbour to remove it as it's coming from their garden..

Thank you 🙏 😀
Yup, ivy is destructive and parasitic.
are you still liking the stihl after 1 year use?@@acreslawncare
Hi from WA. They’re a good make of chainsaw and tools etc. The Ivy completely suffocated 3 trees!!😮that’s amazing. Great job again, looked really cold as well. Keep well.

Wow, that poor tree was being strangled for years. Great job with the removal and clean up. The chainsaw looks like it performed real well! 👍
Thank you 😊
May have to look at one of those chainsaws. Always liked the stihl brand. Not to big. Very nice job! Wow, that ivy was massive! 👍👍
Wow, had no idea ivy could get that big of a trunk, amazing, thanks for sharing.
Thanks Robert. Yes it’s sure get thick 🎅🙏👋💪👍
Awesome, welcome to the battery world of Stihl. 😎✂️
Thanks bud 😀 it was great fun 😀
Good Job and a hard one at the same time. Those vines for sure are lethal to plants, trees and homes WOW. God bless you all.

Hey thank you 🙏 stihl is great 👍
Great job as always and thanks for telling us what happens with the bags after.

One thing I found from doing gardening is, Ivy can be such a menace in the garden. Great job!.
🎅 so very true
Ivy is so destructive! I was amazed at the shot of the cross cut of the conifer in the middle, surrounded by ivy!
Thank you 🙏 yes that shot was insane I didn’t realise it was that bad 😂
The amount of foliage and wood from that was amazing. Ivy can look so pretty but it's a pita! Great job 👏 👍
Ah thank you so much for watching :)
I’m thrilled you got a chain saw .
Thank you 🙏
It's always a good day when we have Alex and Gary to watch. Nice job looked great.
Aw that great 👍 thank you 😊
P.p.e. and electric leaping into the future. Add chain sharpening to your skill set. Great job, good friends. Happy Holidays to you both.

Very impressed with the Stilh Saw! I want one!! Well done!!
That clump at 6:15, makes me think what happens to long hair when you can’t care for it, a crazy, tangled mess.
Haha 😂
Tremendous result. Someone should have saved that example of the ivy “stems” and the conifer clustered together to make a tray or something out of it. Nobody would believe it could even be a possibility for it to grow like that.
I should have kept it dried it and done a epoxy resin table
Thank you. 😀
