Multi-scale offset with the Evertune was a nice pick. Other stand outs I saw were the Friedman José and Synergy.

NAMM was great this year. Great gear and interesting sessions.

ESP had no display on the floor. They only had appointment only. BOO!!!

could probably do a separate video on top 10 offsets from NAMM 😄 so many cool releases this year i thought
i've got my eyes on the ToneKing preamp pedal (a la Friedman IR-X) very curious to see how that translates in videos once it arrives

Offsets were strong this year, I also loved the new Suhrs. Toneking preamp looks fantastic, should be an excellent pedal platform

Hey Kai, have you tried the new Ampero stomp tone catch feature? It's quite impressive.

I've heard good things about it, and I did like the Ampero Stomp - mine was a loaner unit though, so I'm not gonna be able to check it out

These huge pearl inlays in a guitar neck make no sense to me.
I mean what's the point in having a nice rosewood/ebony etc. fretboard, when you half-replace it with plastic?

I personally prefer a totally blank board, but I'll still take block inlays over dots

Mooer has excelents gears, but lacks on support... my ge300, released in 2019 and sold by youtubers as "kemper killer" was abandoned by Mooer with the last update in 2022 - while the kemper, released in 2012 - had an update in 2024... 😢

Yeah, best way to go with Mooer is to buy it for what it is, not what you want it to be. They have so many different product lines that you're lucky to get one hotfix update on a unit

Thorn Sound Labs drive me crazy. The Swept mid is something that should be on every drive+ pedal everywhere , I was sooo excited... until I saw the sweep range. I use something around 3kHz for bitey attack on my sound .Looks like Thorn Sound Labs are not going to help. A swept mid really really ought to cover 330 Hz to at least 3.3KHz (preferably a headroom sort of thing up to 4kHz). They have a swept mid but all the stuff I care about isn't there.
Has anyone noticed how "Close-but-no-cigar" often seems to make people angrier than if the company hadn't bothered in the first place? I'm self conscious enough to know that is where I'm coming from. I hope I get the opportunity to provide this feedback and see if they can respond positively to it (it's only a component value mod with no additional cost after all) .

I totally get that - I think a toggle switch to take it from low mids to high mids would've been handy, but the sweep of the knob as-is should still be very useful. The wider the range, the less granularity you get with it, meaning it's harder to dial it in perfectly. For most people the current range should work nicely, and it should suit both bass and guitar as-is.
I'm with you on the close-but-no-cigar situation - I'd rather see a forgettable product than something that almost fits my needs. I had that very same thing with the Zoom MS-50G+ - it needed just a couple of extra things and it would've been usable.

Why should we care about the things you liked at Namm? Are you so famous? I don't think so.

Thanks for caring enough to drop a comment, I guess 🤷‍♂️
