My parents were both native Irish speakers from the Connemara Gaeltacht. They were married in London in 1963 and I was born in Willesden, north London in 1965. I made the trip from London to Connemara via Hollyhead many times. Moved to Chicago in 1974 when Chicago was packed with people from the Connemara Gaeltacht.

Note him not bothering to lock the door. This is still how it is outside the cities. So sad we let everything get so bad in the urban areas, worldwide. I feel blessed to not have to bother locking mine, but who knows how long that will last.

There is something fake about this video. The rough Irishman, packing his case as if his clothes were rags. Who would do such a thing? Then they show him in Trafalgar Square, going TOWARDS Charing Cross, which is the wrong direction, and then later, in Picadilly, which is in the other direction entirely. I wonder, why would he be in any of those places, if he was trying to get to an airport or maybe Hollyhead? I did enjoy the video, but the staging was so obvious.
