    Very good review. Picked mine up at a local Acura dealer who just happened to get a few earlier that day. Overall, very happy with the purchase. It is so much fun to ride the Motocompacto. Enjoying being the coolest adult-kid in the neighborhood (kids love it and adults smile when seeing a Motocompacto at 15MPH!). My biggest surprise is how much attention it gets! It is fun to see people try to figure out what it is. I find the suspension on longer rides over uneven sidewalks to be the biggest challenge, but I am learning how to navigate around the rougher surfaces. Even if it adds weight, a small suspension system would go a long way! My advice to others trying to get one is to call around dealerships--especially Acurage dealers in the US. Honda so a brilliant company and this thing is selling like hot cakes. Watch for the number of Motocompacto customers who will start thinking about other Honda 2 wheel products (such as the small bikes as the Monkey, and Grom).

    Thanks for review. Good experience sharing. I find the ride to be ok on sidewalks with the seams but anything above an inch in height can get jarring. Biggest thing i noticed is then brakes, wish it had like one pedal mode. That combined with drum brakes would be better.

    This was the review I was looking for! Very honest feedback, brother. I still like them but I'm going to wait a minute! I want the Type-R version 🤣 jk haha. 💯Cheers from Florida 🌴🤙🏼

    This is a great video packed with info, thanks. Will definitely help people hit the ground running with their new Motocompacto’s!
    Question, does it seem like it would be possible to attach a more normal style bicycle seat to the post? I know that would keep it from folding down into the bathtub but an auxiliary post with a comfy bike saddle seems like a good idea to me.

    Thanks for the 1 week review. At 15:00 mark when you gave it "the gas" ;) and it stopped... Maybe the wires to the brake lever are a tad loose, making ride go into Brake mode. BTW: I don't own a Motocompacto but have an eBike that has the same issue when I make a turn and the wires get loose • hm²

    Thanks so much for all of these videos! Lots of great information. No offense to the US engineers, but this should have been designed in Japan like the original Motocompo.
    Had a feeling range would take a big hit at 15MPH, and I think it's very shady of Honda for advertising a 12 mile range. They should have had review units out there before release. That alone seemed a little odd. May still pick one of these up, but after watching your detailed reviews, I don't think I want to rush out and get one.

    • @AlexKolipinski

      Yeah it’s definitely not worth driving super far or paying a lot for one. If you are strictly looking for transportation, there are many other options which are better and cheaper. I bought it just cause it’s a Honda and it’s funky

      @@AlexKolipinski Yeah, I can see that. Still looks cool though! I'd really like to see Honda double or even triple the battery capacity. Having a real range of 20 or 25 miles at the maximum rated speed would be great.

    Glad I watched this, I was on the fence since I live in the suburbs. The range is terrible, even at my low weight. I think I'll wait for maybe different trim levels. LOL maybe a sport version with suspension and double the range with a top speed of 20mph. Oh and a better seat. Still think it be awesome as is to have in the city if I took the train or bus.

    You know you can adjust the headlight!!
    Push on the reflector located below the headlight to lower the beam, push the headlight bezel itself to raise the beam. Bro owns one and doesn’t even know the product, yet makes a YT video to highlight its weaknesses. Laughable!
    All the commenters here don’t even own one. So naturally they feel that it doesn’t go far enough on a single charge, not fast enough, doesn’t charge their phone, no suspension, no heater, no air conditioning.
    The MotoCompacto isn’t meant to replace your main form of transportation, pull a trailer when you go camping, take your kids and their gear to soccer practice, go through the drive thru to get your bag of McNasty or hit the trails in the foothills. It IS a fun piece of final mile transportation to get you from your car, bus, subway train to your office or ? If you want to have fun and you have the expendable income, you can enjoy one too.

    • @AlexKolipinski
      @AlexKolipinski  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      no way to charge the battery or peripherals like a phone? i dont think any e-vehicle lets you charge the battery while in use, the most you can do is have regenerative braking like some higher end ebikes have,( talaria and suron i believe)

    God, I was so excited about this when it was first announced. But what a massive disappointment, I wouldn't even say it's "form over function". Because not only does it not even look as aesthetically nice as the 1981 moto-compo, it;'s clearly a incredibly sht ride, unless you're riding it on flat, smooth ground. I have not seen one in person, but it "looks" cheap, and plastic. I have NO IDEA why they didn't just make a more refined e-version of the motocompo. It's insane to think that this was designed/made by Honda. It weighs 41lbs, which is not that convenient, speed is capped at 15mph. The square plastic body just hides the fact that it's nothing more than a generic seated scooter, with sht wheels.
    get a Jackrabbit ebike instead of this, it goes 20mph, it has just about the same amount of range (and you can get an extra battery for $200). has 20-inch air-filled tires, and is only 24 lbs. An e-bike that is super customizable, aesthetically, and in my opinion, one of the best, more practical ebikes on the market. I feel bad that you literally went the extra mile to get this, and TBH, If I didn't own a jackrabbit, I would have probably bought one of these, impulsively, even would have paid the extra 50, and would have ended up where you are right now. I would honestly sell while there is still hype around them. check out jackrabbit on Instagram -> jackrabbit.bike .....They posted a photo of my custom JR (vintage old school look), if you're curious to see what you can do with them.

      That jack rabbit looks cool but it's a bike vs this being a little scooter. Yeah it definitely rides firm but if it's

    • @finpark7785
      @finpark7785 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Jackrabit is technically/legally considered a seated electric scooter, which would put them in the same category, it's more comfortable to ride, and easier to carry around, not only that, but it is compatible with most standard bike parts, so you can literally customize it to look however you want.@@spade118
