@@rajathiyagakarthick3131 It is clear that there is something holding Texas back and that is Ewers performance. If you would've shown me a info chart of Texas vs. UGA first half and TEX having 250 yards of offense compared to UGAs 57 and only scoring 3 points, I would've thought we were up 21-3. Being up 6-3 with 250 yards of offense is 100% QB performance and completely unacceptable. If the logic is, "Ewers is playing hurt", well why is a 100% healthy QB who is possible just as good as Ewers sitting and an injured player playing?
The fact of the matter is… Quinn is a sitting duck in the pocket, he can’t hold onto the ball, and he lacks the ability to layer passes with his arm strength by getting over the middle with zip! All of which are Arch’s strengths, and arch really doesn’t have major holes in his game like that.
@@topher3705 Probably not with the extra time off it will help. In Texas high school playoffs last 6 weeks and we do not see an increase in injuries during the playoffs. For the state champs it is a 16 week season.
If Arch doesn't take at least 20 snaps in the semifinal or final games, Texas will lose. Arch may not be as experienced as Quinn, but how do you get experience? Georgia put in their QB2 against Texas in the SEC Championship Game, and he definitely was a better fit for that game than Carson Beck because he was a dual threat. Georgia couldn't stop Georgia Tech a couple of weeks ago because Tech's QB was a dual threat. Arch may be the best dual threat QB in college right now because, in addition to having a great arm, he's one of the fastest and best ball carriers on the team. Quinn is still probably not 100 percent because of his ankle, and he self-sacks and throws picks if the pocket isn't clean....he can't scramble very well.
Arch is definitely the better QB and he is a great dual threat QB, but Lanorris Sellers is the best dual threat QB in the country right now and going into next season. Just sayin'...
Was at a football game and a parent keep wanting the coach to call a pass play. Coach knew better but had finally had enough. Ran a pass play and lost about 10 yards. With the runs was at least getting 1 or 2 yards (the team was very BAD). After the pass the coach turned to the stands, looked right at the dad and said "well that didn't work, what now." Dad shut up the rest of the game and season. Sark knows a lot more than the fans 0228mustang included.
Not true. His second best game last year was against Washington, which was the last game. He didn't have help around him (receivers dropping balls) just like against Georgia in the SEC championship game.
You are correct . He havent gotten any better since the Washington game. He only lead the offense to 26 pts in the last 8 qtrs. Sark play calling has not been that great lately
I have seen fans yell stop running the ball up the middle Coach it not working and he ran 8 straight outside sweeps and scored 5 TDs of 80, 72,, 65, 70, and 88. broke the game open. It doesnt mean all coaches are good coaches because they are out there on the field.
Texas is so close to being a truly great game. They beat themselves against Georgia, too many stupid penalties, unable to convert in the red zone, and just cringe to watch. I understand Starks loyalty to Quinn. Hard to watch when there is a bucking bronco on the sideline, but Stark is a great coach, one of the best we ever had, so gotta grin and bear it.
Reminds me of the Applewhite and Simms drama. Everyone but the coach knew Simms should not be the starter but for some reason he kept losing games with Int's and poor decisions.
I’m glad he said that, but I personally think he should have never brought Ewers back. Still looking over your shoulder, listening to outside noise has never been a winning formula. You make a decision and you move on.
He’s gonna want to put arch in when the other team has all the momentum and up by 3 touchdowns.. he knows arch should be qb1 and will be next year even if quinn comes back
Georgia has shown a clear weakness to running/dual threat quarterbacks. Keep it up Sark. Will be fun to watch you lose a third time leaving Arch on the bench. If yall make it that far. Doubt they can handle oregon

Texas is paying him to win, not loose with his bad play calling and the use of an injured Ewers! Arch is waiting patiently and deserves a chance to win for the Texas Longhorns! If he is gonna have a shitty attitude, like Saban, then he needs to win, like Saban did, then he can do that, but until then, he needs to seek out the help of Saban, he's available and WIN! You use the resources available to win and Arch is just that! That won't last long in Austin if he keeps loosing the games we can win! God Bless!
the only reason Ewers is starting is bc Sarkisian is a typical high ego type A coach, he wants to flex his power. Manning gives them a better chance to beat top five teams, they are pissing this season away and their future with him
This is what we said on 'X' I don't think most people full appreciate that coach Sarkisian has a plan. That plan includes putting his players in the best situation to succeed. With that, Sarkisian has a QB that arrived first that he has been molding, he believes in, is counting on, and ultimately is helping prepare him for his next job in life. That may or may not be the NFL, though it likely is. If Sarkisian was to replace Ewers for Manning that would completely destroy his blueprint for developing QB's. How much trust would a future QB have in Sarkisian's program if there was a possibility of getting benched just because another QB might seem like a better choice (according to everyone else). There is a massive leadership lesson in all this. Let the 'team' decided their fate and not just one player. The entire team needs to play better like Sarkisian references in the interview. If you research how Sarkisian has developed QB, then all this will make sense. QB1 is Quinn Ewers.
No matter what? Even as we are horrific in the red zone for the past 2+ years? The red zone showcases Quinn’s slow processing/reading of defenses. Everything is tighter and faster so having a mentally quicker, more decisive and more athletic quarterback Could prove to be the answer. Deciding it isn’t before the season and ignoring all evidence during the season is contrary to the best interests of the team (Quinn does not equal the team)
The Team needs to do better? Texas's defense held Georgia to 57 yards and 3 points in the 1st half and 16 points in regulation. Holding an SEC team to 16 points and losing and at same time saying, "The team needs to do better" is such a slap to the face against the defense. This "prodigy" has only scored 2 TDs in 8 QTRs of play and the inability to score cost Texas their first SEC Championship. The other side of the logic is the sunken cost fallacy. Sarkisian may be investing too much into Ewers to the detriment of the team. If Ewers performs poorly against Clemson and they lose, after being heavy favorites at home, while Manning is on the bench will absolutely wreck your argument and will make Sarkisian look worse than just benching Ewers. Your argument is one of pride and not for the best of the team. Was Saban's reputation tarnished when he replaced Hurts with Tua against Georgia in the National Championship? No.
Don’t overlook Clemson. Texas is the better team. Seen it firsthand twice against my bulldogs. They’re a great team and better than Clemson. *BUT* Clemson could show up hungrier and Dabo has so much experience coaching in the CFP… Longhorns better be ready.
He’s talking like a coach who didn’t just get smacked by GA twice! He needs a change and doesn’t want to come to the realization Ewers is better than Manning! Ewers is one dimensional and we see how that doesn’t work against elite teams.
The worst part about our (Texas) situation is that Ewers will prob play good enough against the weaker teams like Clemson and Arizona state so Sark will continue to feel obligated to keep starting him which will be our downfall. He acts like he owes him something for returning this year & we all see the problem here! He's going to put manning in once we fall behind by 20 to Oregon or someone then it's a wrap! We already KNOW what Ewers brings to the table and it won't be a Chip! GA's QB did in 1 try what Ewers couldn't do for us 3 times against GA! That should tell you enough!!!! Ruining a great team over a mediocre player who can only throw when his targets are WIDE OPEN!
He’s playing like before the injury he was mid beforehand and mid now the real problem y’all have is RB with your starter going down before the season ended and with your second string going down for a bit too a good RB can make a mid QB look good
@@thejohnallcornshow9842 there’s a few reasons like if the head coach doesn’t trust you to start then his draft stock tanks more also arch is unproven unfortunately in big games and the one chance he had to prove himself was vs Georgia and you remember how that went
I think quinn should come back another year since he had an up and down season he could up his stock next season and become a first rounder right now he's probably a second or third rounder
Rich, sark was never more honest than when he said he doesn’t care what anyone thinks about Ewers/Arch. He is never going to bring Arch in for more than one play because he doesn’t want to take the chance to show the world that Arch is better than Ewers. Rich, the one person I would like to hear from in this ongoing debate is CDC, Chris del Conte. Does CDC agree with Sark that it’s better to risk a loss by not playing Arch to massage any hurt feelings Ewers may have in coming out of the game to give Arch a chance. Rich, could you interview CDC and or ask him this question?
Okay then you deserve to lose with a quarterback who's ankle is bad and is a sitting duck. Look what georgia's backup qb did to their defense with his legs! He ran through the texas defense like it was biden's border. OPEN.
it was frustrating to say the least. i started the day watching ASU quarterback do what he did, and after Texas, i watched both Dillon and Jennings of Oregon and SMU do what they did. It was super refreshing to watch someone like Jennings overcome his first half and will his team. if we had a first half like that with Quinn, there is no way our offense is coming back like that.
I’m a Georgia fan. I know the loss sucks, but the longhorns played great this season, and in the SECCG. It took overtime, never done in the SECCG, for my dawgs to win.
Pugheaded. This means you are so convinced you’re right, so unable to conceive you might be wrong that you can not truly see the whole picture. Arguing the other side, with all his ability would show him that that position isn’t stupid, it does have good points Sark wants 100% effort and execution from all his players the team is averaging a grade of say 90% with Quinn but he is not leading, he never plays above the team, the team carries him. If the QB play occasionally carried the team like EVERY other playoff team, we would be so much more dangerous and high scoring and unpredictable on offense.
Sarks gonna view the feedback any day but it won’t be a problem with him when it comes to getting the win next week, seems like he has a execution plan

If both Qb’s get banged up unnecessarily then y’all will try to bring Sark up on mismanagement charges. Y’all ridiculous.
nope. arch will make mistakes but won't be wishing for quinn. it's like chris simms, we were all just ready to move on pretty bad. i do agree you can't put in arch now and expect we'll be fine. i've been saying we should've gone to arch after the first georgia loss. in that case, at least arch would've had decent # of games to really warm up and fine tune.
And your the other side of the coin that polishes Ewers Knob thinking he’s the best QB in the land 😂 stop it bro. This team loses and it will be on Sark and the inability to play his best weapon, all bc he’s afraid to hurt a kids feelings. Good luck in the NFL, they care bout wins not feelings. 😂
@@brians1225 He’s not ready but he’ll have to be next season of course. If Sark starts him after the uga loss then we would definitely lose to Vandy. Especially with all the penalties(real&false) in that game. Quinn is our best option currently. Arch got good reps in 3 games; 2 as a starter. It’s hard to beat that. He still has to learn balance because he’s hyper and will go for the gusto every time. Great quality but balance breeds efficiency. And Sarks offense is a menace to defenses when its efficient.

This is a matchup of 2 teams that are evenly matched. If Clemson were to win the only “upset” would be the feelings of the shortpokes. Neither of these teams, especially texas, are that good.
@stephenpritchard8787 So Georgia who beat Clemson 34-3 and was a missed field goal (twice) from losing in their backyard isn't a good team either? Texas still has the best D in the country and will have little issue dealing with Clemson

We have a 5 star on the bench at 110percent y not utilize all our tools if one's damaged
It’s hilarious that people think they know better than the guy who sees them both play every day of the week.
I concur, you should always give your team the best chance to win every time
@JohnnyEla what makes you think he isn't?
You can’t keep using Arch in the Wildcat, it diminishes his value to the team. He must be incorporated into the game plan.
He should have utilized Arch more than just one fake run play with him in the sec championship game. He’s too good to just sit on the bench all game.
And also
It’s not about listening to opinions about players
But he should consider the fact that Ewers is not the QB to win championships
We’ve seen lesser qbs win stop
The fact of the matter is… Quinn is a sitting duck in the pocket, he can’t hold onto the ball, and he lacks the ability to layer passes with his arm strength by getting over the middle with zip!
All of which are Arch’s strengths, and arch really doesn’t have major holes in his game like that.
You should apply for the Head coaching job, I hear it's $10,6000,000/year
In Sark I trust!
🤠🤘🐂🇨🇱
Didn't occur to me how the larger playoff would add to these teams schedules. Hopefully doesn't lead to more injuries.
It will
@@topher3705 Probably not with the extra time off it will help. In Texas high school playoffs last 6 weeks and we do not see an increase in injuries during the playoffs. For the state champs it is a 16 week season.
@davidroman1654 but there are still players that get hurt in playoff games right?
If you got 2 why you not playing the more mobile of the 2?
Oh look. More gloom and doom.
Arch is definitely the better QB and he is a great dual threat QB, but Lanorris Sellers is the best dual threat QB in the country right now and going into next season. Just sayin'...
Stark is the a great recruiter but I'm not happy with all his plays and the fact he won't use Arch more but he is the coach 😉. GO HORNS !!!!!
Ewers gets hurt every year and his play deteriorates as the season progresses! Arch needs to play a lot more! Wake up Sark!
And who are you to tell Sark what to do?
Sark is the coach. Not us sitting in the couch.
Doesn’t care about winning championships either 😂
I’m glad he said that, but I personally think he should have never brought Ewers back. Still looking over your shoulder, listening to outside noise has never been a winning formula. You make a decision and you move on.
Maybe he is thinking about keeping Arch healthy during signing/portal season.
He’s gonna want to put arch in when the other team has all the momentum and up by 3 touchdowns.. he knows arch should be qb1 and will be next year even if quinn comes back
The most important thing for Texas is that Sark is sober
We need to revisit this after the Ohio st game next year and that will tell the story if Arch should have or not start him sooner.
that's a damn good HBC.
I’m still waiting for next year lol.
Georgia has shown a clear weakness to running/dual threat quarterbacks. Keep it up Sark. Will be fun to watch you lose a third time leaving Arch on the bench. If yall make it that far. Doubt they can handle oregon
You obviously don't know much about Sarks offense.
Oregon will be a challenge for everyone including UGA
@@drm2364 what offense? Lol
@@drm2364the Bulldogs definitely do…..as does a lot of the SEC when you’re playing a qb with mobility issues.
Texas Longhorns Fan 4 Life
We have our Coach we've been looking for since Legend Mack Brown talent is all over the roster on this team. We are headed in the right direction.
Hook Em 🤘
wtf does Quinn have on this guy ???
A winning record. Smh
@@mjayy907lots of winning records out there….including Texas before Sark. What’s your point?
Texas is paying him to win, not loose with his bad play calling and the use of an injured Ewers! Arch is waiting patiently and deserves a chance to win for the Texas Longhorns! If he is gonna have a shitty attitude, like Saban, then he needs to win, like Saban did, then he can do that, but until then, he needs to seek out the help of Saban, he's available and WIN! You use the resources available to win and Arch is just that! That won't last long in Austin if he keeps loosing the games we can win! God Bless!
Ewers is Mr. Glass. Seems like a good dude. I hope he has a Colt McCoy type NFL career. Not to shabby to earn $50 mil in your career.
Because the CFP refuses to use SOR or SOS, the SEC MUST leave CFP! SEC Championship Playoff TON NIL$$ *BONUS* No Committee!
the only reason Ewers is starting is bc Sarkisian is a typical high ego type A coach, he wants to flex his power. Manning gives them a better chance to beat top five teams, they are pissing this season away and their future with him
This is what we said on 'X'
I don't think most people full appreciate that coach Sarkisian has a plan.
No.
I hate to say it.. it will have to take an injury to get Arch In
Brilliant Coach
Don’t overlook Clemson. Texas is the better team. Seen it firsthand twice against my bulldogs. They’re a great team and better than Clemson. *BUT* Clemson could show up hungrier and Dabo has so much experience coaching in the CFP…
Longhorns better be ready.
Just make sure you start Arch next year regardless if Quinn goes pro or not
if Quinn stays another year, expect Manning to hit the portal.
Allow the guy 100% to come alleviate him.
He’s talking like a coach who didn’t just get smacked by GA twice! He needs a change and doesn’t want to come to the realization Ewers is better than Manning! Ewers is one dimensional and we see how that doesn’t work against elite teams.
Sark was cold blooded woooohhhh
Offensive play calling and Ewers poor play cost Texas SEC championship and will cost National
Championship!
Sark is helping ruin the season if you continue to start ewers . Hes hurt not playing like he did b4 the injury
He’s playing like before the injury he was mid beforehand and mid now the real problem y’all have is RB with your starter going down before the season ended and with your second string going down for a bit too a good RB can make a mid QB look good
@icee6431 there is no reason for arch manning do not have a bigger role in the playoffs
@@thejohnallcornshow9842 there’s a few reasons like if the head coach doesn’t trust you to start then his draft stock tanks more also arch is unproven unfortunately in big games and the one chance he had to prove himself was vs Georgia and you remember how that went
@@icee6431huh?
@@tomcsy44weatherill29 to which point I wrote that half asleep I’ll be glad to explain what I meant
I think quinn should come back another year since he had an up and down season he could up his stock next season and become a first rounder right now he's probably a second or third rounder
Arch > Ewers all day and especially on Sundays
Arguing the other side, with all his ability would show him that that position isn’t stupid, it does have good points
Sark wants 100% effort and execution from all his players
the team is averaging a grade of say 90% with Quinn but he is not leading, he never plays above the team, the team carries him. If the QB play occasionally carried the team like EVERY other playoff team, we would be so much more dangerous and high scoring and unpredictable on offense.
Pigheaded (sorry, it’s like font 3 on my phone)
Ewers is going to hurt Texas again it's pitiful but hey it's not my call , watch Ewers and Manning at the next level, Arch is way superior 😎 👌
Sarkisian wants a championship?! Not if you don't use what you have.
I know a 49ers fan isn't saying this after watching that L to the Rams last night. San Francisco can't use the players they have on their own roster.
Manning won every game he started sooo…
Sarks gonna view the feedback any day but it won’t be a problem with him when it comes to getting the win next week, seems like he has a execution plan
Auburn doesnt need a day off
Next year when Arch has a bad game, & he will, these same clowns will go after him. I trust Sark, not some phatboy still living with their parents. Who’s never played a down on football.
We ride it out with ewers till the end man he just has to correct his turnovers and I mean that ankle injury didn’t help at all even though he’s not playing horrible ball but next year we know it’s mannings time oh well
4 defensive linemen just bounced. Texas is toast. Will be mediocre next year.
The same fans talking 💩 about Quinn are going to be the same ones wishing Quinn was still here next season when Arch makes mistakes. Arch is not ready in no way shape or form. Can’t just run him nilly-willy. Y’all silly asses think his family wants that? So why get him banged up if its known that Ewers is injury prone? If both Qb’s get banged up unnecessarily then y’all will try to bring Sark up on mismanagement charges. Y’all ridiculous.
Totally agree 👍
nope. arch will make mistakes but won't be wishing for quinn. it's like chris simms, we were all just ready to move on pretty bad. i do agree you can't put in arch now and expect we'll be fine. i've been saying we should've gone to arch after the first georgia loss. in that case, at least arch would've had decent # of games to really warm up and fine tune.
Sure duel threat isn’t better ok
Sarks offense is not designed to run the QB often.
@@drm2364therein lies the problem. Your offense should reflect your talent.
My sources tell me texas will be running their patented Spongebob defense (it’s full of holes) against Clemson.

How can you ignore the fact that Burt and Quinn need the bench and Sark just refuses to utilize the talent over commitment
Who's taking Burts place 🤔
Don’t mind that he doesn’t care . Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to show that red zone woes are Quinn
Dropped passes are Quinn's fault?
@ I saw a couple in the first . Second half wtf was up with Quinn ! Dude does this magic trick every game where he throwing dimes then vanishes. Classic case of doctor jackal and Mr Hyde . I completely agree in the first half. He lolled very poised and was throwing great balls . His issue is has no athleticism in the pocket and looks like Ryan mallet in the pocket . Perfect pocket great Quinn , anything other then perfect looks like a deer coming out his mothers womb . What were those balls at the end he was forcing ? I overtime throws? Garbage . Last drive what are we doing ?? I’m all for Quinn but also bring in arch. Quinn brings no threat to defenses in red zone. We can have a 2 qb system in place in the playoffs we have to
