Just bought this one at Amazon. Current price there as of 7/29/21: $247.50 Can't wait to receive it. Thanks for reviewing this. UPDATE: Received this watch today. I want to love this and I'm sure I will. However, I have to wait for it to wake up first. This is the third Edifice solar watch I've bought this month that arrived light-starved. Happily, all are now working. Patience is a virtue, after all. I truly do enjoy your reviews, sir. However, after my experiences, it might be a nice touch on your part to include a mild warning that at least some solar edifices might arrive discharged for lack of light. Just trying to spare others needless frustration. Again, thank you for this review. As for my new watch, time will tell (we hope!) Pun intended.
What’s the difference btwn. this version and the red one (1AER)? I noticed the red one has number markings on the silver bezel. Any other differences and did one come out before the other and one being the improved updated versuon?
What’s the difference btwn this version and the red trim version (1AER)? I noticed the red version has the number markings on the bezel and this one doesn’t. Is the red version the updated version vs the blue one?
Edifice has so many design variations with the same core watch unit that I can't keep up, honestly. You might ask someone through their Web site to clarify the difference.
It's a super cool watch, but not perfect... The question is, what happens when the app is no longer supported/doesnt work? Does it mean the watch is completely useless or is it possible to set it manually?
A very good question. Then again, I have a higher degree of confidence that Casio will be around in 10 years than an unknown third party manufacturer :-)
Yep, I can certainly agree with that. However, Casio should also think about making this watch at least usable without the app, not because it's not a reliable company, but due to fast changes in the IT industry. Since the biggest brands like Huawei lost access to google services and Android security updates, who knows if they don't develop their own system... For at least some time it may cause additional inconvenience for Casio App users. I heard the app also doesnt work properly on some Android devices... Don't You have any information about other color versions of this watch? The "regular" (non-bluetooth, EFR S567D) version has different color options, I'm really thinking about this EQB-1000 but I'm not convinced by those blue accents... And the limited Honda edition is way too expensive...
@@SzymonSowik1996 I just got the watch. You can set the World-time and "Main-Time" manually via the Buttons provided on the watch. So no need for an App. In the App you can sync Time/Date with online-servers and download your stoppwatch-times. Edit: Typo
I'm sure we don't have to worry about the app for these watches becoming obsolete just yet. I'm also sure that the folks at Casio are smart enough to maintain, and/or upgrade, the app for these watches at least as long as this line of watches is maintained. By the time the app becomes totally obsolete, we will likely have whole new line(s) of watches, with more and better bells and whistles (and apps to go with them.), to add to our collections. Meanwhile, this particular watch has fewer settings than the others in this line, all of which can be set on the watch as well as in the app. So, fear not! Relax and enjoy! :-)
i just bought the same but no solar and no bluetooth. just half the price and same design. 5 years battery sounds enough i never care about bluetooth thing. great review! the model i choose is EFR-S567D-1AVUEF
Since it's solar powered, I just put it out in *direct* sunlight for a few hours. Make sure the light isn't filtered through a window, but directly on the watch face, perhaps sitting on a bench or table. That should get it back and running!
peter benbow I haven’t even tried that to be honest. Not a feature I was interested in. When I synced the watch with the phone to correct the time I had no issues.
If you're completely separated from the phone for weeks on end it could theoretically wander off exact time, but I imagine it's probably accurate to within a few seconds/year or similar. Modern mechanisms are pretty precise.

Great review mate, I’m sold.
Pro trick : you can watch movies on Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching loads of movies these days.
@Kason Hendrix yea, I have been watching on flixzone for since november myself :)
Great. Thanks for your review. What’s the lug size? Can change the strap?

Excellent. Let us know how you like it in 30 days or so!
If my watch had stopped running, how do I get it to start up again?

Would be nice if you could wear it and do a closeup to show how it looks. I watched the whole video waiting for it to happen.
I’ve watched so many watch reviews and am truly surprised with how many reviewers don’t do wrist shots!
@@yous-dyouzer Look at 450 , you can see the strap flops on the table, it dose not even fit him.
peter benbow bought the watch. Quite happy with it. Comes with a long strap, had to take 4 links off to fit my wrist.
@@yous-dyouzer i'm looking to buy one because i keep losing my phone , but he said he had problems getting his bluetooth to work, did yours work ok ??

Has it always exact time without the phone. Is it wave ceptor?

@@AskDaveTaylor thanx for info
Money down . . . In my location this watch costs $300 is this a sale price?
Could be. I would encourage you to check a few places online, not just casio.com
If I'm not mistaken, the MSRP on this watch, and many other Casios, is $330. So, if correct, that's not a sale price. Sorry.
Nice review
It kinda look like AP royal oak w/c costs around $20k to 30k
Fortunately, it's a LOT cheaper than $30,000. That's a lot for a timepiece on a wrist :-)
Dave Taylor , but then again AP royal Oak is an investment because it increase in value. Limited edition and fine craftsmanship.
getting to be too many adds you tube
dude its a casio, stop drooling
Dude, what's your issue? What's on your wrist?
@@AskDaveTaylor tag heuer, tissot, festina, Citizen and TW Steel not all at the same time .......
Very nice. You have your favorite watches, and I have mine. 🤓
