I’m seeing my beautiful Elmore station after 37 years . The station where I used to commute to my home town Tambaram first when Iwas in school and then when I started employment . Egmore had so much more character than Central Station it was more peaceful and after the last long distance trains had arrived in the morning it would be so quiet you can even have a sleep on one of the benches or even in the waiting room . When I was in school I used to go up the stairs and turn left to go to Vepery where my school was and where my relatives lived and when I started working turn right to the bus stop to get 29 A bus to Perambur . Such beautiful memories Thank you and cheers from Australia .

@@srinivasanmahadevan1934 yes I remember all the taxis used to bring passengers and you could get off and board the train straightaway . Beautiful memories . Egmore was really beautiful but I saw a video yesterday where there was a mess everywhere . Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺

i am travelling from chennai central MAS to vishakapatnam ...the same train is showing in two stations on same time 19:15 (chennai central to vishakapatnam and 19:15 chennai EGMORE to vishakapatnam ) my doubt is both stations are same or not???? means EGMORE and CHENNAI CENTRAL MAS are same?

Where did they find the space to build 11 platforms . I remember 2 platforms for the electric trains to Tambaram where my dear Father was a motorman and 4 for the long distance trains . India is really ingenious in solving problems when space is limited .Congratulations .
