- I gave my ‘62 Lancer to Vic at Funtional Histories that he named “Stone Soup”.
Somehow it appears at my doorstep again…
How could this be?
Am I delusional?
What’s going on?
Glad my wife helped me to remember… 😂😉
Watch the build as the car gets passed around from TH-cam channel to channel as each one contributes to the build as a gift for Vic. As our goal to get the car ready for the 2024 No Name Nationals in September…
Welcome to “Heavens Mopars“. Here I ‘journal’ and record the progress of the many different Mopar and housing projects.
A place for out of love of Mopar (Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth) that I do my best to save the classics.
I fix them and sell some of them to fund my car hobby and restore the projects that I want to keep. Some projects are for sale or trade.
Join me along the journey for the progression of my different projects…Such as:
‘70 Challenger, ‘70 Duster (trading), ‘70 L-600 (sold) , ‘70 L-700, ‘65 Dart GT, 2-‘68 Coronets (one is pending other is for sale) ‘69 Coronet, ‘70 Dart Swinger, ‘63 Chrysler Newport wagon(sale?), ‘62 Plymouth Valiant, ‘79 Dodge D-150(sold), ‘69 Dart, ‘73 D100 (for sale- traded for ’69’ Charger) , ‘72, ‘73 ‘Cudas, ‘70 Satelitte/Superbird project.
Who knows, you may learn how to do a thing or two (DIY) along the way, be inspired as I learn myself, or if anything, just be entertained. 😃

It might not be perfect, but it’s SO much better. The car doesn’t look like it got kicked in the face anymore. Nice work!
Thanks.
‘Kicked in the face’… that’s hilarious! 😂
Thanks again Jamie for putting the ball in motion on “Stone Soup”. 😎👍
So enjoyable to watch these old girls come back to life. Great work all!
Sir you have the patience of a saint!
It looks so much better than before! You did an excellent job!
Thanks! They say that it does not take much to make a big difference! 🤔👊🏻
Labor of love getting that grill sorted out!! What a transformation, truly impressive
Thanks. It definitely took more time than I thought, especially to make the grill fit once I straightened it out…
but it was totally worth it all! 😃👍
Oh, the ACTING! Lmao. Love ya, Scott! Thank you so much for all the help!
Had to have fun with it… 😃
Wish I had more time to do more! But I had to send it so everyone had a timely shot at working on it before the NNN when I see it again.
Can’t wait for its transformation! 😎
Doing the lords work. lol well done
Beautiful work. I only wish I had your skills. Regards from Ody Slim
Guy at our local drag strip ran a 62 Lancer for years. Had a slant with a 4 speed. It would run a 8.0 in the 1/8 mile. I have a picture of it with a 7.98 dial on the windshield.
This is a really good idea passing one project among car builders and watching the process of seeing the car come back to life, enjoy watching the videos.
I’m glad you are enjoying the journey!
If you want to follow the build on the car:
go to Functional Histories TH-cam channel,
click on playlist.
Then the folder called “Stone Soup”.
There You will see the build from start to finish. 👍
Nice work, and nice job! Take 21😂😂😂😂
Great video and awesome work on that grill bud. 👍👍👍
Great work, the 61 lancer has the nicest grille, the 62 look "cheap" but you did improve it a lot
In Canada, since this car predates the Canada - USA Auto Pact, all our cars were Valiants regardless if it came from a Dodge or Plymouth dealership.
Amazing work Scott! I love the "Dream sequence" theme. I'm am now officially a fan! Thanks for helping with stone soup!
Thanks, it all seemed like a dream getting the car back, I had just passed it along, so I went with it. I appreciate the support.
Looks really good Scott!
Great vid Scott... loved the story and the handiwork but you gotta stop bangin ya melon...lol
Much better!!!
Nice work Scott . Glade to see anther video by you .
Thanks I appreciate it! This one clogged up my phone for quite awhile! 😉😂
🇺🇸👍 Good job
Man Scott, that looks a lot better! All this work on a car you've already sent away!
Interesting how it came back to me… “thought it was all just a dream…”
Hey Vic! You know what they say? If you give something away and it comes back to you then it’s yours right?! 🤔😂😉
Stone soup? 🤣 Check out what I brought home! 😁
It blows my mind how well that grill came out from what you started with man. Nicely done. 💪🏻
Thanks, I figured I couldn’t make it any worse… 🤔😉😂
@@heavensmopars very true. 😅
😎👍
Fun times always! 😉😂
That was an interesting massage on the grill. work outside in, the bestest part towards the worestest. Careful not to bend the same place twice as aluminium snappes. At least that is what I was Hearing. No I am not ready to try it. But you made it look Heavenly.....
Very similar to the contemporary Plymouth Valiant.
This was a great video sir!!! Thanks for sharing your experience!!👍👍👍
That's some pretty good work there brother. That'll Grill don't look too bad.
Made it brand used!
Just like brand used baby @@Raycr

That car is so ugly that its beautiful. Like the mug of a pug. Grill looking great. Cool ride.
I hear you there. But they definitely do grow on you!
Now I love them. My dad got me interested in them.
I want to chop the top on my 62 valiant (slight differences between the lancer) and put a 340/4-speed in it…🤔😎👍
