while listening to this im imagining snowdin just. Empty. After frisk (more so the player) killed all the monsters its just desolate. Just the breeze and the wind falling. The INNs lights still on and running, Grillbys radio and lights still on. Waterfall just has the sound of water dripping. Hot lands just has the lava bubbling and popping. All the puzzles still sitting there, Waiting for use again. Only the dust of the others is left. Ruins has fully decayed. Its just, *gone*
Woah, I got goosebumps reading that as the music boomed in my ears. Most of these comments are talking about the pacifist end of Undertale but here, there is nothing left. We the player made a choice, and with that choice came regret as we sit down and remember what we destroyed. My friend, thank you for sharing your imagination with us.
Despite everything... Asgore still has no watering can.... In all seriousness tho this is such a sad theme. But also kinda hopeful? Always makes me feel nostalgic.
