I took my typhon grom at the skate park and kinda messed up the shock tower screw and bent it and came off and managed to put it back and I had to replace my servo the gears were shot and ended up getting the rs100 25t spine.
Can you see if the hyper go 1/14 battery fits in it

Nice little car. Your the first I’ve seen yet to say that it’s bigger than a 1/16 and more like a 1/14. I was wondering how it compared to that WLtoys car size wise, so thank you for making that comparison. Big Like though. I only paid $80 for my WLtoys like you got with that big 560 motor. Still haven’t reviewed it yet. 😂Any way this lil Typhon is nice and built with some serious quality! Great job shaking this down Aaron! Very cool!😎✌🏼
Yeah it's tough to compare when we have pretty great and cheap options from overseas. I'm still holding onto hope that WLToys will come back in a big way this year with something that will get them back into favor 🤞🤞
i picked one up yesterday at my local track and did some laps straight out of the box, wow! very impressed with the stock tires. i did put some traction sauce on them but they are pretty soft anyways. stock servo def needs an upgrade, it's pretty slow even for a small cheap car. either way i'm stoked, handles much better than the Granite Grom and looks cooler too. i hope they do a Grom Senton, THAT would be kick ass!
Yes!! A Senton Grom will make me poor. If they continue with remaking the 3s line, then it's coming for sure! I agree with you on the servo, it's kinda slow. May need to swap that with the brushless upgrade 👍

Good review and video! It may be more expansive than some other brushless rc but I think they won't have any trouble selling these, it's perfect for that destructive kid that has an opposition syndrome or to get probably the best 1/14ish platform and beat records.

I'm hoping that they're taking all of these little tiffs about these two releases and then when the Mojave gets released. It'll just be an awesome little thing with no work needed and I feel like they should do better quality at their oil in their shocks if cheaper smaller companies can figure it out. Why can't bigger companies?

There are so many styles, it's hard to pick just one. The polarization is huge for me, if you notice in this vid, I forgot them at home and I'm squinting a lot...making my caterpillars look angry 😅

There's a local skate park and community center that's normally full of kids. It wasn't that day so that was a win 👍
They go brushless, many budget companies are going to struggle, and I hate saying that because I adore MJX and other similar budget brands. But, if arrma can deliver all the same durability, but with big name parts support for similar prices, that's amazing. They go brushless, without breaking the 160 dollar price range, its game over!

Hyper Go or HBX would still be my pick in that price range. My 2997a is 12th scale, brushless and was $10 more when I bought it
It's a tough sell, and both those rigs are great. Hopefully they make some little changes in the next Grom to keep up with the competition

Yes, this is the first RC release I’ve gotten excited about in a while. I sold my Senton and regretted it. I’ve never quite been happy with the cheap buggies I’d tinker with. This thing is a well built machine and I can’t wait to see what upgrades become available with time. Still gotta take mine out for it’s first rip.
It's a lot of fun, just needs a bit more umph. It's nice that there are so many size options for the pinion. With a few more teeth, 30mph would be amazing 🤩
I love all the mini bashers. My favorite one so far is, unfortunately the most expensive one i think and that being the Traxxas Mini E-REVO vxl. That being said, i will be adding this to my collection and installing a brushless system. Is it blasphemy to install a VXL system into this car? I have an extra one in all my RC junk.
I've been wanting to pick up the mini REVO VXL, but so many people warned me it's a money pit. Has that been the case for you?

@@Diaszurana no, I mostly run it on 2S so that it doesn’t get too crazy because it is fast. I would recommend getting the metal axles from Traxxas and RPM swing arms. I’ve also put 30 weight oil in the shock and 200k oil in the diffs but that was just for tuning purposes. Otherwise, I’ve never broken anything on it and I jump it and track it at my local Rc speed way.

Typhon is a better quality buggy, WLToys is hit and miss. The 1/12 and up are good units with a lot of cheap after market parts. But you can't bash it around like the Grom, it would break really quick

It is tiny,I have a tiny one too.I call it the Granite .Is been great for Many months, Skateparks,Armchair Dog walking my Girlfriend's Dog.I sit on my rucksack/stool and run the Grom whilst most of the parks dogs chase it.A very tough RC.✌️
Yeah, I do love a tiny thing that's easy to pack around. Makes for easy bashes and an easy walk back once the pack is toast 😄
