Just to correct you boy it was British empire before partition. Pakistan is older than India as of 14 and 15 august. Just as you say Kashmir is only issue which makes both nations rivals.
Pakistan was cut out of "British India" on 14th august. Pakistan was both born and independent on 14th august. But India only got freedom on 15 th august. Understand the difference between "getting freedom on 15th august" and "being born on 14th august".
India is literally oldest civilisation in the world. The civilisation was called Indus valley civilisation which existed in 5000 BCE.
Indus valley civilisation had Hindu statues and symbols. So "Hindustan" is the oldest civilisation in the world.
Indus valley, Mohenjodaro, Harappan civilisation all are Hindu civilisation. Pakistan, Afghanisthan and some parts of uzbekisthan was also a hindu civilisation and ruled by Maurya empire, Kushan empire, Maurya empire, Rajput and Sikh empire.
Lahore was named after Lord Rama's son Lavaa. And Rawalpindi named after Rajput King Bappa Rawal (father of arabs).
