Nice video! I also made a video on the tallest skyscrapers by country. It's amazing to see the variety of countries jumping on the skyscraper bandwagon!
The largest building in Brazil is located in the state of Santa Catarina and not in Rio as you showed in the photo. There are more states in Brazil than Rio, I don't know what your problem is in thinking that Brazil can only be summarized in Rio.
Costa Rica's tallest buildings are Torres Paseo Colon, if this works for you for the next part @Top Luxury (pd: i love your channel and your videos :D)
Not only that but the information for South Africa is also wrong. The Carlton building opened in 1974 and is no longer the tallest building. It is also not in Sandton. The tallest building is now The Leonardo and it was opened in 2019 in Sandton.
@@JustAnother_J Yep, they got the wrong building entirely. It's shocking they genuinely thought S Africa's best architects could only come up with a brutalist 1960s monstrosity in this day and age. The Limete Tower is one of the tallest buildings in Africa, located in the capital city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kinshasa. The tower was an idea of the then military dictator and President Mobutu Sese Seko Kuku Ngbendu Wa Za Banga, or in short Mobutu. In 1966, an year after taking his place as the leader of the Congo DR, he renamed the boulevard Leopold II which connects the center of the city with the N’djili airport, also known as Kinshasa International Airport, to Boulevard Lumumba after the “Martyr of Independence”. started being built in 1971 in a form of 210 meters tower, which actually was at that time the tallest in the world.
I’m sorry but what does that distinction have to do with it? Not a skyscraper? What ridiculous omission especially when we could see it towering over the. BMO tower in the clip.
I love your channel, but the poor editing when it comes to Brazil's tallest building is a bummer. And by the way: in Caracas the stress syllable is on "ra" and not at the second "ca". I.J.S.
Yeah, so the building they showed in South Africa is not the Leonardo. The pictures are of the Carlton Center and Ponti. These two buildings where built in the !970's and are both in downtown Johannesburg. The Carlton Center used to be the tallest building in Africa and the Southern Hemisphere. Downtown Johannesburg has become a slum and these two buildings are now just horrible eyesores. Companies moved to the Northern suburbs of Johannesburg in the 1980's and have built a whole new modern city in Sandton. The Leonardo is a tall modern building but isn't particulalry impressive in it's design. The interiors are however very opulent as they serve very wealthy clientele.
