- Here’s “Sailors of Dùnain”, the third track of my new EP “Tales of Olden, Vol. 1”! This one is very orchestral, with kind of a viking - northern sound and epic choirs in the middle. All in a sea ambience with stormy waters and mighty sailors 🌊 The instrument played with bow and fingers is called kantele. Enjoy!

Sometimes I dream of sailing in The Baltic. Dark grey waters. In the dream, I think of The British Isles and how easy it could be to run aground or crash in narrow waterways. And on the lookout for ships that may be carrying friend or foe.

This would make some awesome Norse D&D ambience.
I love this album so much already, and we're only three songs in. This song fits my books as well, it's getting me excited to throw myself back into writing one and editing another, especially now that finals are winding down. This is such a great adventure song, but it also fits a backdrop of a battle where the good guys have just given that last push to let them win. I love how calm and hopeful it is at the start, then grows so epic and heroic in the middle. I've also never seen/heard of a kantele before, unless it's been used in other songs and I didn't know it, but that's one instrument I'd like to learn how to play, it sounds beautiful.
