Land Rover Discovery 5 key fob battery replacement

Replacing the battery in a 2018, 2017,2019 Land Rover Discovery. This likely applies to most Jaguar and Land Rover models 2017-2019 or later.

I really appreciate you mentioning how difficult this is....I just changed two LR key fobs and thought I was going crazy watching other videos because it took A LOT of force to get them open. Once I watched yours, I felt more comfortable using more force knowing it wasn't likely to break. Thank you!

My wife came up to me, handed me both her key fobs and said "my car won't start or open the doors, I'm taking your car," and she left. Your video saved me. I thought for sure I was going to break the things. BTW, 2032s only last 2 years regardless of how often you use the key.

Isaac Arnold they make the batteries now so they intentionally die in about a year. Used to be these batteries lasted way longer. Glad I could help.

Thank you! If you wouldn't mention using some force to open the damn plastic case, I would still dancing "the dance of rain" arround the key, chanting and praying the gods to give me strenght to open it 😂. Or, the more expensive and time wasting way - a trip to the dealership... Happy Holidays!

Locking the car wirelessly (Discovery 5 2019) was very slow / intermittent (by touching the door handles). I don't know why I didn't think to replace the battery sooner - but when it did dawn on me, this video fixed the issue immediately. The car locks / unlocks seamlessly / quickly - wirelessly now as it should. Thanks :)
