hi great video! quick question, does the battery flex cable that goes on towards the end have a clamp on both sides? I've recently replaced he battery but I could only see a clamp on the right side! Now it appears I've broken the cable so have ordered a new one. Thanks
@@ItsBinhRepaired so it appears there was no latch on the new battery! If I knew what I was doing I would have noticed before installing it. Instead of buying a new battery or replacing the latch, (which I imagine would be difficult.) do you think I could tape it to keep it secure? If so what tape?

Thanks for this excellent video tutorial. The camera work, zooming, and detailed instructions seem to be VERY complete and thorough. I bought a used 2017 A1708 MacBook pro with over 900 cycles that is not holding a charge for more than a couple of hours, so your video should help this amateur immensely. Glad you like the video. I don't have a specific preferred brand for this model battery, but this should be good with 1 year warranty. amzn.to/337LPDp and good reviews.

Hi I’m using this video to help remove my battery because there was some water that seemed to have gotten in my laptop. And so my screen has splotches. The water indicator is sadly red so do you think in the future that’ll mess something up
@@ItsBinhRepaired I did the upside down dry technique for two days and I checked it today but there’s still water in my screen. The same amount too. Would a drop of WD-40 help remove the adhesive? I would skip the scrapping and just new battery on top of it. The old adhesive looks very thin to me.
The new adhesive won't stick to the foam layer. Wd-40 might work, but I wouldn't use it. It leaves too much residue.
