It makes sense if you look at the results. Shawn was a heel at the time, so this just gives him extra heat, It created the character of Vince, plus it both protects Bret (since he had to be screwed out of the title) and creates an amazing angle for him to use when he starts at WCW (that they failed to capitalize on it is their fault). Ultimately it should have benefited everyone. Now I'm not saying it was a work, just that you could see why some people would think it was.
With all the recent belt design changes, Bryan’s custom strap and Kofi’s both really pop for me. They look fantastic, especially compared to the generic blue and red titles Bryan’s was beautiful and Kofi’s was crisp and looked important
