Wow two years later. Now I’m just finding this video, I love watching comic book hauls. I myself have never read a lot of comics but some of the cover arts look amazing
I know its so hard, but I like to open them in videos so I can have an honest reaction haha. I have been opening stuff more often before filming lately though just to make sure things arrived safely.
I really like your comic book videos you make more inspired to go and draw my own comic I always have to get out the comic I'm working on and I improve so much because I literally draw for 5 hours and watching you videos keep up the good work 😀
Wow awesome Wilbur 5 is one of the keys I really want to pick up. Was it decent grade? How much was it? I almost grabbed a low grade at $500 but decided not too knowing I would not be happy with it so I will have to wait until I am ready to spend a few thousand on a mid grade one. The printing quality and artwork is so enjoyable on those old Archie comics.

Hello. Good video, love all the Archie series 1950s-1960s. Best art and stories. Once they hit the 1970s, all the magic got lost. Like you said, bad art and not fun to read. You can tell a big difference. I started going gangbusters when i was introduced to Afterlife with Archie in 2014. Got that crazy run, then went after all golden age stuff. My favorite is Archie's Pals N Gals. Local store has #1 for $750 for a 7.5 slabbed, and I found a very nice one on ebay for $150. Love it.
I agree with you, the art and design was wonderful in the 50s-60s then it became almost a bad copy of itself. Wow nice on the Pals N Gals #1 great comic and awesome price. I have a couple Pals N Gals issues I picked up in my next haul video. Love the covers.
I love the mystery of going threw boxes full of miscellaneous comics it’s exciting to see what you’ll find. I do the same thing I just do my hunting at fleet markets where people dug them out of a place of storage otherwise I find issues I need here and there at shops. Few recognizable issues of comics I noticed, I have Heathcliff #1, small amount of a lot things I seen in your video like Archie and Richie Rich. Got a collection probably of close to 4 thousand but I collect Superhero comics, I love the Horror as well but that genre is getting really hard to find, mine consist of a small amount of Midnight Tales, Ghost Stories, Do you Believe in Ghosts, Grimes Ghost Stories. I don’t have Twilight Zone but they are so cool and I love the art to them and I love the original Twilight Zone series just gotta get on board. Anyways cool video and happy hunting.
Hunting at Flea Markets is great, you never know what you will find and sometimes you find some awesome issues for a great price. I also like thrift stores, garage sales, used book stores etc. Anywhere that may have comics. Horror is hard to find, I think there is just a lot less of it out there compared to super hero stuff etc. I would buy a ton more of it if I could find it regularly. I always really liked Richie Rich comic books. I think I would have loved to have gotten into comic books, but I used my allowance to Buy the Edgar Rice Burroughs Tarzan series. I would bicycle downtown to buy a novel. It's funny, because there was a candy store attached, but I didn't care about the candy. I was never even tempted to go into that section, because I wanted my book. LOL I loved Doc Savage as well. Thumbs up!

Yeah they are really cool. I really enjoy collecting them. They are pretty hard to find in decent grade for a good price so its a slow process collecting but I get a few here and there and slowly growing the collection.

Yeah I have been having fun trying to track down kinda weird but inexpensive Golden Age comics, its a ton of fun to me. I have a good portion of the bronze age and newer super hero stuff in my collection so I have been working on some other stuff for a bit. I need to get organized though and figure out what I still need in my super hero runs etc. MY SI is cool, Jordan is so i conic that its fun getting anything with him on it. I sold it a day after I filmed this video to my regular who buys all my Jordan stuff. Anything Jordan is pretty much an instant sell haha

Getting rid of the boxes and plastic means you will have a much harder time getting any value out of them if you ever have to sell them. I would suggest you store the boxes and plastic in a basement or closet just in case.
Charlton is definitely underrated, so many fun covers. There only flaw is that they printed them on lower quality paper so so many covers are yellowed or browned. its hard to get a clean white cover.
Whew! It's been a long time since your last comic book haul video... But boy oh boy! Did you overcompensate with the most legendary haul you've ever done! Both in quantity and quality! Tons of vintage stuff! But if I can make a suggestion: maybe, next time you could split jumbo hauls like this in two or even three videos? In any case, you should do comic book hauls more often! I don't know how you can go almost a year before opening packages of comics.

That being said I will buy all the Frank Miller era Daredevil comics I can find, some of my all time favorite comics and they sell really well every time I get them.
so i gave up up all this for the sdcc 2013 white ranger pop cuz i was seaking it for a long time and its my holygrail. the stan lee auto hulkbuster had a value of $250 the bret hart auto had a $50 value the xpac $20 the freiza $50 the foley photo $20 the other pops combine had a value of $70 plus a $20 green ranger figure and a commeritive mitb worth like $50 all that for a holy grail that can be worth $450 to $800 plus once i get it sign by JDF it will be worth $1,500 to $2,000 just because of the status of the pop and last but not least i clear alot of clutter and have a little space now. So what you think is the sdcc 2013 white ranger glow in the dark considered a grail and did i gave too much?

I think you can get them around $25-$30 I bought them off a Barbie group on facebook but you can find them on ebay. I aim to get them for $20-$25 each time I get one.
A really great haul of comics I really like the star wars ones and some of the daredevil and spiderman ones there where some I never saw before I just wish that you could ship some of the star wars ones if i bot them cause I'm not from there but you don't so all i can say is keep the comic videos coming

Katy Keene books look great AND DON'T KIND yourself...those ads and the old fashion dresses shown...that kind of nostalgia SHOULD [even if it doesn't ] Add to the price and value of the comic book. When you think about it...its part of nostalgia history....it is!
Well I am in New York so the shops closed down at the moment. But I hope they start sending me unemployment next week, if they do then I will be able to crank out some videos.
I use to sell a ton on ebay but it does not really work for me anymore. Everything is based on algorithms so unless you are consistently listing and selling its hard to sell on ebay. I mostly use Mercari now for online selling.
I miss making videos myself, I will be back eventually. I just have to finish sorting and cleaning my office. I really need a larger space, its just too expensive in Brooklyn.

The shop is super slow in the winter so there is not much I can buy at this time, but by the end of march we will be buying again, if you are still selling then let me know and we can work something out.
I just have not been able to do a video. Between getting sick, falling behind in work, then doing my taxes I just did not have time. And now we are dealing with the coronavirus in NYC so I am not sure where our business is going to be. But it might give me more time to do videos even though I will be broke haha
My copy of X-23 issue 5 series 1 got ruined and have no money to replace it. If you have a spare copy and are willing to give it away i would be happy.

There is something about the way comics were printed back then from the line art to the coloring process etc that makes them magical.

Katy Keene books look great AND DON'T KIND yourself...those ads and the old fashion dresses shown...that kind of nostalgia SHOULD [even if it doesn't ] Add to the price and value of the comic book. When you think about it...its part of nostalgia history....it is!

Well I am in New York so the shops closed down at the moment. But I hope they start sending me unemployment next week, if they do then I will be able to crank out some videos.

I use to sell a ton on ebay but it does not really work for me anymore. Everything is based on algorithms so unless you are consistently listing and selling its hard to sell on ebay. I mostly use Mercari now for online selling.

The shop is super slow in the winter so there is not much I can buy at this time, but by the end of march we will be buying again, if you are still selling then let me know and we can work something out.

I just have not been able to do a video. Between getting sick, falling behind in work, then doing my taxes I just did not have time. And now we are dealing with the coronavirus in NYC so I am not sure where our business is going to be. But it might give me more time to do videos even though I will be broke haha

My copy of X-23 issue 5 series 1 got ruined and have no money to replace it.
If you have a spare copy and are willing to give it away i would be happy.
