did u hear what he said?, he said that, back in high school they were taught that the riftvalley regions are arid and semi arid, which is not the case. good he's now seeing it for himself@nairobichik
Rift valley is basically divided into 3 regions. North rift which comprises Uasin Gishu, Trans-zoia,West pokot, Elgeyo Marakwet and Turkana and it is mostly dry. Then Central Rift valley which comprises Kericho, Nandi, Bomet and Nakuru and it is green as you can see. Receives considerable rainfall. And lastly South Rift which comprises Narok and Kajiado counties. The area is mostly dry. Largely inhabited by Maasais.
Lawrence, direct matatus are called Shuttles ,they have a standard price -not negotiable.Once you find one where you have to bargain, thats not a reliable shuttle and you might be wasted for that case.
Kericho, Bomet, and Nandi counties are in South Rift Eldoret, Elgeyo maraket, and pokot are North rift region . Rift velley region runs from ethiopia all the way to the border between Tanzanian and Malawani. These are the highland areas that experience a significant amount of rain throughout the year. The North rift part of Kenya, especially Turkana and porkot and Baringo, are semi-arid
You seem to like hilly terrain, in my view the flat Savannah is also beautiful with the many livestock and grain plantations. Kericho is at the heart of the rift valley, you understand that a valley has the high part and the low part.
@@bonifacelangat-lh1fv check again on the Kenyan map kericho is not in a valley like nakuru or naivasha it's in the Highlands. Unless you're referring to the Kenyan way of saying that all kalenjin towns are in rift valley province. So speaking of education kericho is in rift valley province but not geographically in a valley.
Kericho is administratively in the Rift Valley but geographically in the Lake Basin. Before independence it was part of Nyanza but was transferred to the Rift Valley Province on the attainment of independence in 1963
