    I bought a 2016 Eldorado. I put 2 sets of handle bar risers on it. Brought the bars up and back. Second i took the touring seat that was already installed, and i had a gel pad inserted and had the back rest part moved forward a couple inches. This made a BIG difference. It's great for my 100-150 mile days. When touring, i use my airhawk air cushion. I can ride all day. This set up was very affordable considering what the aftermarket parts for this bike are. All bikes have to be fitted to the individual. All bikes have to be set up. Some more than others.

    The reviewer appeared to go into the review not wanting to like the bike. Styling of course is subjective. He complains about a retro bike being too retro. Ergos are designed for a relaxed comfortable ride. Obviously your going to want a windscreen if you are going to ride it regularly at highway speeds due to the upright riding position.The stock exhaust doesn’t sound as good as his GuzziTech one on his California.. no kidding. This bike handles great on curvy roads due to the smaller diameter wheel size. The brakes are awesome! The gage is fantastic. It gives a wealth of information and is in a position that’s very easy to see. Seat comfort is an individual thing. I hated mine and had it redone to be more comfortable with a stitching pattern. I think they skimped a bit on the stock seat.

      I understand why it may look like that, I assure you it's the contrary, I wanted to like it and build up on an already great experience I have. What I found was disappointment after disappointment, and was I supposed to lie? Of course not, I just shared my opinion, you don't have to like it nor agree with it. Still, thank you for watching, and leaving a comment 🤜🏼🤛🏼

      @@todxbranko What you found is different ergonomics which a very individual thing and if you bleed the clutch and brakes with some fresh fluid suddenly your cali braking and clutch feel would return. I have owned both Cali and eldorado and apart from ergo's ,the shitty rear shocks on both and the 16 inch front wheels they are identical. I prefer the faster turn in of the Eldo. Too love one and dislike the other is weird. you can stick your cali bars and seat on the eldo and its love for you again.

    • @todxbranko
      @todxbranko  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @TheTestride one man's weird is another man's yabadabadooooo, it's not a haram to disagree man, I appreciate you going through the review and leaving the comment, for me Eldo was utter crap, and bike was brand new at the time of my review so to talk about bleeding the brakes and the clutch is nonsensical. Having said that, every review is a personal experiences, and this was mine, hope you've seen my review of the California, it's very detailed and you will see where I'm coming from with all the remarks I made. Again thank you for your feedback, and hope you enjoy your ride 🤜🏽🤛🏽

    i have a 2016 and I immediately built a new seat , narrowing the wide stance 2.5" flush to the frame rails ( Im 6'4" and the stock width is way too wide for me ). I also raised it by ~2" making it more a flat tapered rectangle . I fits my frame now now and its infinitely more comfortable .

    Great commentary, l am seriously looking into buying an elderado where l knew that setting it up to suit me would be a process, even after watching your great oversight on the bike, some may call me a nut but l'm determined to make this bike right for me. Different strokes for different folks makes the world entertaining, it's why we debate these matters.
    Keep up the great work👍

    God must have brought me for a reason! I also own an Eldorado 1400 with the same color as yours, but have installed a short fairing from Moto Guzzi and replaced my stock pipes with after market "Mistral "brand pipes. The bike sounds fantastic and definitely has more torque from the new pipes and I strongly recommend you with the Mistral pipes which you probably won't regret! I definitely enjoy riding this bike which I alternate from time to time with my other baby, a BMW k1600 GTL exclusive 2016. Lastly from the scenery of your video clip, it looks like somewhere in the UAE or Qatar, am I right?

      You like your bikes XXL, don't you? Guzzi will definitely handle the best out of these ones you numbered, but in reality none of these bikes will be particularly agile, they are long, heavy and low lean angle. If you want something that handles look at the Road King

    As a Centauro owner I have reached a point where I want to expereience a bit of more long distance traveling , feet up front, more engine capacity, and i am looking now through the 3 1400s, the Eldorado, the Touring and the Custom, the thing is I dont always need luggage when out in the day for a couple hours, so the Custom appeals to me as a naked use, but then if i plan a 3-4 day trip, the Eldorado appeals even more, and if the idea is going on a holiday and really far, the Touring is the thing. But I can only afford one, and to me the order of choice is the one I mentioned, but still not sure....cant you mount on the Custom any kind of luggage ? Or are you doomed to use saddle bag with strips? I am a 6 footer btw

    Hey, I got a Cali EV 2005, and plan to buy the new Cali tour model. Harley is simply to heavy, to clumsy and price/value ratio not amazing.....and no bike can match the California Tour in my opinion. Just here to compare and get my daily Guzzi fix😎

      Don't disregard the Chief, it's a great bike on its own merit, and I suspect it will keep it's resale value better, it may depend on where you are in the world. Take both for a ride and see what makes you feel better

    • @Kwansudru
      @Kwansudru 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have noticed that if you paid the 16k for a new California youve lost over half the value by now which is stark but there is a low miles (4k) custom for sale in my town. 5999. That seems like a ton of bike for the money at this point

    • @todxbranko
      @todxbranko  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Absolutely if you are buying used it's great value, just make sure the maintenance is done properly, those bikes are recommended to do valve clearance on every oil change, also you will benefit from a mech that knows guzzis. But good luck man, I know you're gonna have a great time in it

    Hello, I had a test ride of an Eldorado in the 2015 open days at Mandello. It was so confortable (I'm 175cm tall) that I deicided to buy my own California. But I did not like the style of the rear lights, so went for the Custom version. As per the chromed mufflers, these are the standard ones, on the Custom too, at least they were until 2017. From what I can see on your video, the year model of this Eldorado looks 2018 or closer? in 2015, all models shared the same black comodos. It may now have become the shiny ones this bike has, for all calif' models. Yes, the style is kind of renewal of the old California Eldorado (1974)... When I thought about buying a custom type bike, this Eldorado was put in comparison to a heritage softail from H-D. Too bad the California Custom doesn't show anymore in the panel of Guzzi's bike on their website (they don't sell it anymore?).

    • @todxbranko
      @todxbranko  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess riding in Mandello Del Lario didn't take you high speed highways, and it also probably wasn't for too long of a period of time, and that's where the discomfort really shows. This bike is a 2019 model year. My custom had shorter stock mufflers, but still they were replaced with the Guzzitech set, it's a huge difference in sound and performance to be honest. And no, California Custom is no more, now one needs to go with the Audace if they want a roadster

    • @manuelmatos6041
      @manuelmatos6041 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@todxbranko Indeed, You're right: The Eldorado chromed mufflers seem to be 20-25cm longer than the ones on the Custom version. And frankly I don't like those longer "trumpets" so much... Or are they designed to act as bumpers when you park the Eldorado backwards?

    • @todxbranko
      @todxbranko  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Perhaps that's why 😂😂 I think it's just a styling exercise gone wrong,

      @@todxbranko I am test riding an eldorado today just for fun and an Indian chief dark horse bobber ( I’m 6’2”) so forward controls for xtra leg room! Seems Euro5 killed a few in the Moto Guzzi line up and I don’t think buying a bike that’s out of production makes sense support wise. I’m looking forward to test riding the Chief.
      I did not like the 2018 Heritage I test rode. It felt old not like a newer bike

    • @todxbranko
      @todxbranko  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's probably a smart decision. Moto Guzzi (Piaggio) is not famous for great after sales services anyway, can't imagine what it would be like with a discontinued model. Good luck!

    Sorry, man, your analysis is far away from my own experiences. I have my Eldorado now for 5 years. I changed the seat from the beginnning, but not because of uncomfortable sitting position but because I wanted a sissy bar and a luggage rack and I also had 2 leather saddlebags and a windshield from the start. I had all my life Moto Guzzi California, first a red Cali II 1982 for 20 years and then the Cali III IEC Special Edition 1992 used, for the last over 20 years and as said now the Eldorado. And the reason that I bought the Eldorado was exactly one thing, THE SITTINGPOSITION! I tryed the new Cali, the Audace and the Eldorado (with original-seats) over months and this was the most perfect and comfortable Moto-Guzzi I ever had. 2 months ago I made 1300 km in one day and it was like nothing!!! So I think your negaitvity against the Eldorado is quite arrogant and also the way how you were acting in this video.

    • @todxbranko
      @todxbranko  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don't be sorry my guy, you are perfectly entitled to your own opinion and to act how you want to, it's a free world. I stand by what I said tho - Eldorado is the worst of the 1400s, closely followed by California touring. Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and leave a comment 👍🏼
