My question is how old the facility was. Apparently Boar's Head opened the plant in the 1990's, but I'm wondering if they moved into a pre-existing plant. Chances are there were a lot of poor design choices.
I’m guessing it was built at the same time. Can’t find anything that confirms that online. It’s basically the only thing in that small Virginia town. I think corporate most likely didn’t invest enough money into the plant. Now the town has to suffer.
The real question is.. is heavy meat buildup on the walls and ceiling worse than heavy meat buildup in the pants? 🤔
