I love following your journey - my favorite font for writing is Hoefler Text or Average in Google docs! Can’t wait to read your book.

Writing these variants of the same idea sounds absolutely brilliant! But you're absolutely right that it gets redundant and boring if it keeps repeating on the page eithout a purpose 😂 i've read too many novels lately where that thought process unfortunately made it through editing to the final product

Me too! Im trying very hard to avoid letting any of that get into the final draft 😂

Hey Kayla, when it comes to world building I highly recommend you to watch N.K. Jemisin's Masterclass! That what an absolute game changer for me and my writing!! I'm now working only on world building during Camp NaNo :)
Excited to see how your story will develop.
Sending you love and creative vibes

All my life I've been wondering why they always say number of words, and not pages. Seriously, who knows how many pages is thirty thousand words?!! I guess writers do, but not us plebeians!

Because page count is entirely dependent on the layout settings of your document in our contemporary world. The same 5000 words (≈ a chapter) can fill a veeeeery varying page count with different settings.
In some remaining academic settings, where you've got a set font + spacing + marginal standard for everyone to use, you can still see requirements given as sheets/folio/slips etc. and that's something that was done back when typewriter slips were used. With a specific machine you only had so many adjustments to make to the marginals and spacing of your text, so the correlation between word count and page count was more accurate.

@@jasminv8653 I always had a feeling there was something standard used, eg times new roman 12, and then whatever you want to change it to, is a different thing
