Exactly this, you should never apologize to these people on social media. You'd be apologizing to people who won't forgive you anyways because they're crazy enough to think somone drinking a coffee aligns them with a side in a war and when people are really dumb enough to believe bs like that they will inevitably find something else to hate on you for and if they can't they'll just make something up like with Dream. Not to mention when you apologize not only will you not be forgiven you lose the support of the people who thought you did nothing wrong in the first place.
I literally asked my Palestinian friends if this offended them, and they said thats the least of their concerns. It's funny how people love being so vocal, yet dont actually do anything useful but create hate and diminish the actual cause here with this tomfoolery. Not everyone knows or cares about what's going on, and neither should they if they dont care or dont want to. What's the use of having superficial support when we can actually have people who actually care.
I like this side of internet because of this only. In hindi we have a saying that if translated is something like - the work I'll do is nothing but will teach everyone about everything (kam karu jhaat bhar Gyan chodu rat bhar) Because people who say Palestine is right and Israel is wrong would do everything to tell themselves that they're good people by doing everything that is insignificant but easy. Like calling Danny anything because he drinks Starbucks. Defination of virtue signalling. Like i support Israel from heart and I don't even know companies that support Israel or Palestine because in reality if you think that by targeting big companies and trying to cancel them would have any real effect on ground means you don't live in realityland dude get a life. Both sides are funded by various major governments and there will never be a time in this war in which money is ever a factor. It's just not. It's impossible

Imagine being so terminally online you go ballistic because a guy bought coffee. All of these people, by their own logic, support sweatshops because they are using items with so much as a single component made in one. Not just support sweatshops, but again by their own logic, they are solely responsible for them. Edit: lol Pegasus beat me to this point 😂
And they most likely live in America, which according to them, also is somewhat involved in these wars in foreign places. They are using social media apps on a phone that is most likely made with Chinese child labor They are using social media services that most likely came from American companies, that is notorious for data harvesting and all sorts of bad stuff
Yes but unironically. For all we know, the inherent guilt they already carry from using garbage like Shein and Amazon 10 times a day is what motivated this randomly misplaced outrage in the first place. They're projecting to try to feel superior.
No, its actually kind of justified. I'm pretty sure he is in 'Creators For Palestine' so drinking Starbucks would be breaking the oath he made while being a part of that movement.
It’s ridiculous, Danny apologizing is a bad move, drinking a coffee cup from a multi billion dollar company where there are Starbucks everywhere, and accessible, is a joke.
I doubt he was being serious. His entire channel is about satire and jokes. I haven't seen the video but knowing his channel, I'd be surprised if he wasn't making light of it.
No one tell these people about their chinese phones, the social networks they use, or literally every product in their houses. I like that America doesn't have to be an authoritarian state to get this amount of censorship and harassments, the people do it to themselves.
Smart solutions by our overlords tbh. Why create a police force based on ideology when you can just dispose of the police in general, then allow your party members to police their own as well as their enemies
That's exactly the point. By misdirecting all this rage at a random online creator they're hoping to shift away the light on how they're hypocrites themselves. Projection all the way down babyyyy
I can personally relate to this sh!t. A girl who was in my friend group blocked and cut off my best friend because her parents bought Starbucks. I wish I was capping Fr 💀
Well then they weren't really friends, that's just sad. I lost a "friend" awhile ago to the whole Wilbur Soot situation and that's when I realized they were never really my friend 😭
I said it before and I'll say it again. Just because you're boycotting a company for a cause or donating to a cause doesn't mean everyone else has to as well.
Exactly. Encourage, not harass. Harassment won't swing people in your favor, if anything it makes people less likely to want to support your cause because they don't want their images to be associated with lunatics
The same reason why it is hard to NOT hate these type of people. They don't had anything else to do with their lives, they didn't even accomplished anything by doing these.

Actually, the company fired workers for helping raise funds for people who were dying and actively getting SAd by the IDF, go figure why people got mad
But it isn't a genocide at all. Israel has voluntarily delayed its operations on multiple occasions to allow for the creation of humanitarian corridors, has publicly announced dates and locations that would be targeted for bombing so that people could evacuate, and continues to allow food, water, electricity, and supplies to get in to civilians. If Israel were trying to kill as many people as possible, then it's a bit odd that they've gone out of their way not to. Social media newspeak has caused young, terminally online people to genuinely misunderstand what the word "genocide" actually means, and they are dangerously misapplying it to this situation

I'd rather drink piss then learn and form of politics. It's not that big of a deal, a cup is a cup, deal with it. Man ppl r so terminally online it's insane.
Well, people can educate others on a subject to enlighten them, allowing them to come to their own conclusions and make their own decisions on the matter, but yes, a lot of these people are going about it wrongly and actually pushing people to do the opposite of what they say. It's the same thing that a lot of people do with religious beliefs, or other beliefs like veganism. They'd get a lot more success if they actually approached the situation with a little bit more forthought and less condemnation. Sometimes forced enlightenment is needed, though, but their using the same logic as "You're going to hell for doing xyz". Basically just going from 0 to 100. Furthermore, Starbucks is owned by Nestle, pass it on ;p
This is so disgusting. He's not a political guy and sooo unproblematic. Forcing people to talk about things they don't know about with the threat of cancelation is WILD. In his apology, he cried. They made our boy so upset that he cried.
That's just spineless. Which is the norm nowadays. The people who become the biggest creators are the ones that are so unproblematic and so averse to stepping off the line or have been programed to be so that they are no longer able to stand up for themselves, even on something as benign as this.

Fuck politics in general, ppl are so terminally ill online to a point where they think their opinion should be everyone else's opinion. There's no way ppl piss their pants over a damn cup with a label
I would say that this is somewhat wrong as, yes, physically someone boycotting these companies online is not doing anything but them spreading the word for others to hear can help us boycott these companies. A big example of this is back in February when the boycotting online was so large against McDonalds they had to lower their prices for people to actually come to eat there and there are multiple pictures of evidence showing that no one went to those places and that they were running low on business. So your technically half right.
Well, technically having a product in a TH-cam video is promoting it, sort of, regardless if the person brings attention to it or not, or isn't even paid. Any product with branding that is in a video is technically "promotion" for that product, it may just be unintentional, though, but it definitely can influence people into going out to purchase whatever it is. If someone sees a box of 10 piece McNuggets from McDonald's in a video with the person never even bringing attention to it, the viewer may very well be like, "Hey, now I want nuggies. Let me DoorDash some real quick", or whatever that is just an example. It's free publicity without the company having to even do anything. If you didn't want to unintentionally bring awareness/attention to a product, you would cut out those parts of the video, as you know your exposing your audience to it and if they see you consuming said product, then they are more likely to do the same. Also, Starbucks is owned by Nestle pass it on.
@@casper6014 Are dust particles made by companies with branding clearly printed on to allow other people to be exposed to the existence of said company? Im not going to argue semantics, c'mon. Branding is clearly for marketing purposes, so if you show that branding then you're doing exactly what the branding was made for.
@@MrRADicalOfficial dust particles can come from things you have bought, they dont have clear branding but your still including them in your video. Everything is branded in 2024, buy a god damn plastic cup for 1 dollar and its branded.

I gotta say that I've never seen a Danny Gonzalez controversy, but knowing the type, and knowing that's he's a new dad, he probably apologized because his wife or baby was threatened in comments or something and that's why he apologized

Politics are a sensitive topic, especially in this case. Danny probably just wanted to address it and move on, not everyone is looking to start fights. I actually respect him more now.

Surrounding myself with every conflict happening in the world would make me miserable. Sorry i don't hate myself as much as you do-
Mental health and wellbeing is a great reason and should be valid. I used it myself until I was forced into learning about this conflict. It's inescapable at this point. Some person literally argued with me about it and said "I'M DEPRESSED TOO YET I DO SO MUCH FOR THE PALESTINIANS". Ok, do you want a medal? I support the boycott and all, I even boycott companies that support Israel. But I don't think anyone has the right to force someone to boycott. It's none of your business if they boycott or not.
I hate how he's forced to apologize to protect himself. These people are actually nuts. I sent a fucking Snapchat streak to my friend a month ago and it included the Starbucks logo and my friend was appalled that I hadn't boycotted it and literally controlled me to get rid of it and never visit a Starbucks ever again. I wish I went off on her but I know I can literally be stoned and doxxed in my area for this. Crazy world. Also we barely talk so don't worry, I already know what friends are worth keeping.
I think the reason he apologized is because he doesn't want any drama, he just wants his videos to be his apolitical as possible and he wants to focus on goofy stuff and his kid, I kind of get it.
I wish people actually had the same sentiment towards the politicians supporting the genocide and the companies and not random independent youtubers. Seriously, you have the right to be angry, just direct your anger to the right people and not innocent parties
oh and what also pisses me off that all the previous genocides (uighur genocide or famines in yemen etc. hell, even the racist and colonial history of america) weren't enough for all of these people to lash out and cry out for justice but once it came to Palestine everyone suddenly woke up. I don't know why but at least more people are becoming educated on this but still.
Getting hate because you drank Starbucks sounds like something you'd see from a comedy skit about sorority girls. "Yeah well Tiffany, you should've, like, known that we were boycotting Starbucks!"

There's also a chance it wasn't even from a starbucks. It could have been from Barnes and Noble. I can't remember if the ones in target or other stores actually are a starbucks or not but still... It's not a big deal...
the worst part is: Starbucks does not even support or fund Israel, nor do they have any locations in Israel :/ ppl starting saying the company does bcz Starbucks sued someone for copyright infringement due to a pro-Palestine ad having their logo included on it. the creator of said ad never got permission to use Starbucks' logo and Starbucks didn't want their logo on something that was not created or funded by them.

Although, I don't care about politics, I do agree with boycotting "Starbucks". It's not because it is Starbucks though, it's because it is NESTLE. Nestle has done a great job at hiding their name when it comes to their child companies, so much so that most people aren't even aware that many of the brands they purchased or bought stock in are owned by Nestle, like with Starbucks. Nestle is one of the most hated companies in the world, that is literally banned from many countries, and has done a lot of awful things. I do try to limit bad companies, as should everyone. Yes, most companies are bad, I'm well aware, as I literally say around 96-98% of companies that exist are bad, but not supporting the worst of the worst is objectively a good thing. It's not different then avoiding companies like Meta, or Activision Blizzard, etc. The REALLY bad companies should most definitely be boycotted. I don't have a lot of money, like you said, and do buy bad products, but I buy mostly ones that are definitely better (any% more ethical) than the common ones like the ones lining the shelves at stores, full of carcinogens, endocrine disrupters, mutagenic, cytotoxic, etc. chemicals. If you have SOME standards that will help make change, slowly, so that over time corporations don't have a leash around us (at least not so it won't be so tight, and with handcuffs and a ball and chain on as well). Regardless, I don't care if he has a Starbucks cup, as long as he isn't promoting them religiously, and only gets it from time to time. Now, supporting Hasan.. that's a whole other thing, and is frightening to think about.. Hasan ≠ Logic.
You support a genocidal bunch of lunatics led by terrorists? Other Muslim countries wouldn't even take them in. Good grief, the Israelites were being so generous, giving them land and autonomy and the Palestinians still massacred tons, including women and children, at a festival to start a war. Israel is a small country to start with, if the Palestinians really wanted more land, why not ask the much bigger Muslim countries around them? But not even the other Muslim countries wanted them. I'm not saying Israel has done everything right during the war, they've definitely done bad things, both sides have. But we don't call the British the bad guys in world war 2 because some of the generals hit targets they shouldn't have. Only one side of this conflict is calling for the genocide of the other. Not sure how you are supposed to make peace with that, especially since giving them what they wanted in the past and even offering more land (which they declined since land doesn't seem to be their actual goal with all this) didn't stop the Palestinians from doing what they did.

Yup, these people online really are just posers
I would say that this is somewhat wrong as, yes, physically someone boycotting these companies online is not doing anything but them spreading the word for others to hear can help us boycott these companies. A big example of this is back in February when the boycotting online was so large against McDonalds they had to lower their prices for people to actually come to eat there and there are multiple pictures of evidence showing that no one went to those places and that they were running low on business. So your technically half right.

honey, you do realize he wasn't actually canceled, and you're falling for clickbait, right?

Trying to ruin someone's life for drinking a coffee brand you don't like without your permission sounds like the kinda stuff that happened in w w 2 germany.
Stop falling for clickbait, he didn't get canceled.
😊The funny thing there isn't a Starbucks coffe shop in Israel so those crazy mob attack him for nothing
I’m gonna buy so many Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes just a piss these people off
That's almost as lame as them.
the amount of people i know saying to stop supporting starbucks yet still buying from mcdonalds. like people just say whatever is convenient for them
People are stupid. If someone wants Starbucks, then let them have Starbucks. It‘s not a big deal.
The idea of buying products to fund war from other country where the product doesn't even came from is really absurd.
There's also a chance it wasn't even from a starbucks. It could have been from Barnes and Noble. I can't remember if the ones in target or other stores actually are a starbucks or not but still...
It's not a big deal...
Or a different coffee place in general. Starbucks aren't the only ones that use green cups and straws.
the worst part is: Starbucks does not even support or fund Israel, nor do they have any locations in Israel :/ ppl starting saying the company does bcz Starbucks sued someone for copyright infringement due to a pro-Palestine ad having their logo included on it. the creator of said ad never got permission to use Starbucks' logo and Starbucks didn't want their logo on something that was not created or funded by them.
i couldn’t believe he apologized for something so asinine
Do these people think that one customer no longer buying coffee from Starbucks, is somehow going to tip the scales?
Starbucks lost 11 bllion dollars, try again, the boycotts work
@@HerrscherOfKosma Still, how long before we’re back to consuming their products and services?
Besides, there are several companies that we endorse, that have done and are still doing terrible things to get ahead. So you can believe all the “cruelty-free” products and “carbon neutral” processes, but we both know that the big wigs and the suits at the top are oblivious to the real process of getting the final product.
We’ve all funded different atrocities unbeknownst to us. We aren’t Saints either.
No one is actually cancelling him 😭 fuck click bait
THIS OMG
honestly, i could care less about this Palestine situation, just let me drink my damn coffee
38k ppl died btw
@@star67811 yea i still dont care
@@star67811Its not the avg persons job to care about some people dying halfway across the world
I feel the same as well.
@@star67811Humans are born and die every day by the second.
Danny reaped what he sowed. Itsstupid and its stupid he apologized but he did try and appealing to these freaks. Should've stood his ground.
HE WAS NOT CANCELLED IT IS NOT A BIG DEAL GET A LIFE AND STOP HATE MONGERING AND SENSATIONALIZING NOTHING
exactly these mfs in the comments r stupid as hell
really? i wasn't aware of what happened but he made it look like shit got big and serious
yeah no every time danny posts an apology it’s never be because of something huge. it’s always just a few comments
@@PRAYINGMANTIS. This whole channel clickbaits. Literally danny wasn't canceled.
So drinking coffee is a big deal?
I wish he stood his ground.
talk about sensationalizing outrage that wasn’t even there in the first place. you DO realize it was a very very small amount of people who brought it up and most were not doing it from an attack standpoint…right? danny just chose to acknowledge it because he has a track record of acknowledging people’s concerns about social justice causes regardless of how small that amount is. he’s apologized multiple times for things not many people have brought up in the past, this is just the same thing. you’re getting worked up and cranking out 15 minutes of nothing just because bro decided to not minimize people’s concerns like y’all love to do.
Please this is exactly what I’m saying 😭
This.
ikr. he wasn’t getting canceled
I find danny admirable bc even when ppl were 100% being rude about the way they brought it up and had very nasty attitudes about it, Danny still apologized for something he really didn't need to. Bro fr put all his points in Kindness and Humility :( I love Danny
So why do he have to close comment then?
Starbucks cup: * minding its own business in the background *
comment section: And I took that personally
He shouldn't have apologized. I bet they were drinking starbucks while they whined on Twitter.
as someone how is arab and supports Palestine this is straight bs istg
