I don't think anyone could blame you for stating your opinion especially in this stage where you properly know at least the basics of who TWICE are as artists. Being a fan of a group/artist doesn't mean you sign a contract to like everything and anything they put out. If that was released in the early 80's the toddler me would hit the dancefloor whenever it came up. Excited and curious for the new album as for all TWICE releases. I will start praying to all known and unknown Gods that the tour will include ANY venue in Europe and put aside an emergency TWICE show fund . Not gonna hold my breath though..

Many people think that K-Pop was impregnated with retro because of Dua Lipa and that BTS's "Dynamite" is the paradigm, but that is to ignore the history of K-Pop and, in particular, the trajectory of the JYPE groups. They have still overused it in the kpop industry these last two years and I’m bored of it regardless of the history 😩. I don’t know a kpop group who hasn’t done a throw back sound at some point even as b sides (and I love a lot of them) but as a reactor it becomes tiring for me to react to tracks almost one after the other that sound so similar 😩 I grew up listening to music from those decades cos of my dad too so I prefer the original sounds in general I think~ 💞

Gotta say, I have to agree with you, the song just didn't do much for me sonically. I didn't even realize it was in English on my first listen. I became a Twice fan during their Feel Special era, so this does feel like a step back for me, but I'm definitely excited for the comeback in November.
