If there is e in the end it’s is feminine and the other is masculine but there are some words which ends with e and are masculine have a look with that but mostly ending e is feminine

Because of LES enfants. You can only use the apostrophy when there is a vowel at the beginning of your noun AND at the end of it's article (LES ends with an S) so LES enfants.
