It should have come from the factory with a valve body bracket. You should get a copyright on a bracket that would fit a stock Dirty Hands log splitter. I am very familiar with the valve body moving and leaking out of the valve body/Ram nipple and it is an oily mess to take it apart, clean everything and reinstall it. LOCTITE 545 works great on the NPT threads.

AWhite, great job on the bracket!! You don't happen to have the dimensions on it do you? The CNC shop said they could do it, but only with a pic and dimensions. I dont have the tools to fabricate or weld it. But again, great job and thank you for sharing!

I get a lot of use out of the log table, first one the weld where it mounts to the stripper plates broke. They sent a new one. The four way won't hold up to hard woods, I've been thru 3 of them, they bend.

Gary Winters I read a lot of not great reviews about those 4 way wedges before I bought it but figured I’d give it a try. I’ve run about 20 full cords of mixed Michigan hardwoods through that 4 way and haven’t had an issue. I suspect it has to do with bad batches or quality control, and I just got lucky....knock on wood!

@@commercial709 I suppose, we have oak, ash and Osage Orange here in south east kansas. They sent it to me because of some warranty issues and even sent 2 more replacements. The Osage Orange is an iron wood and is very hard and would bend the wedge to the point that you couldn't get the height adjustment pin out.

Well, I blame you for this, but my 4 way broke! LOL. It didnt actually brake but it came apart, like the backside opened up, while it was stripping an oak log. So none of the welds or anything broke, but its pealed apart and I cant get it bent back together. And of course DHT is out of them "till at least the first of next year". I suspect they have probably stopped making them

That's what happened to all of mine. They will tell you it's not desgined for hard wood. I told them I don't burn soft wood, I've gone thru 4 of them.

Nice video. How did you go about fixing the leaking valve body connections? Remove it and apply thread sealer? I have some permatex for the job. Sounds very messy.
Also, looks like DHT is going out of business. They won’t honor warranty repairs.

How are your Temperatures. My Son has the 27 ton and it runs very hot, above 180 F. This is to hot for the equipment. Valves and cylinder are rated for less than 180 F.

you know, im really not sure the temps. The cylinder and valves do get hot to the touch when im running it for long periods of time but ive never actaully measured it. I've not had any issues with anything leaking or anything like that though. I will say that I rarely run it on a hot even a warm day. Mostly i'm running it on cool Fall days or Winter days.
