Awesome Barb, very exciting stuff going on. Looking forward to more recordings and flir action. Hoping the trail cam gets some action too! Best Wishes, Kathy
Oh so glad you shared all the whistling with your friends...lol. I agree with Missy. Although ALL of us would like to see a clear image of the Forest People, we must exercise patience and not blow any of the trust that has been established so far. A slow introduction of the game cam seems vital. Someone is consistently taking the food gifts, and unscrewing the lids (sometimes putting the lids back on) - usually without a scratch - even after we have moved all of the gift areas. I want to see who it truely is too. As difficult as it is...patience is a must. Thank you, Barb for sharing your evening with me. Just so your viewers don't have to wait a whole week wondering what we saw on our new thermal - I hope you don't mind me telling......we tried out the thermal camera and out of ALL the wild game in the forest, we saw a kitty cat. Hahahaha! It was fun, though! ; ] Stay tuned!!!
Hi Barb !! The whistles brought tears to my eyes. So beautiful , to me it sounded like a forest friend and then a happy bird to join the fun. I am so glad that the camera is out and really happy that it isn't hidden. Trust is the key. Dan told me to tell you to put tape over the ir and flash, and I just left it up to you. Great idea. Thank you for your hard work. I am so excited to see the camera that Sandy got. I will see you soon. The Ackleys
Hello Barb!Wow! The new videos are really exciting! Great new stuff, so fun to be able to hear and share it with you. I'm really grateful to be able to do that! Also fantastic to hear about the newly incoming equipment. For those of us that might like to help support your costs, where do we send the donations ($) ? Thanks again!
Hello msmegification... Barb asked that I help with this reply... I think that IF you or anyone else wanted to donate to the BF research in the Greenwater area, you could just send your donation directly to Barb Shupe c/o Greenwater General Store, 58120 Washington 410, Enumclaw, WA. 98022. If you ever visit this area, please stop and see Barb. She truely will share her experiences with anyone who is interested. I also arrange campouts with Barb and Gabby for a small fee which directly pays for equipment that we are purchasing or want to purchase so she can continue to bring experiences to you and all of her viewers. We are currently discussing camp trips in the Spring, Summer and Fall of 2015. You can send your contact information privately if you are interested in joining one of the camp outs. We typically camp Wed - Sunday. We are not affiliated with any official BF organizations, so campers get 100% of Barb and Gabbys undivided attention....okay...Gabby gives about 150% of her attention to each camper.... ; D Thanks, Sandy
Hi Sandy! Thanks so much for getting back to me on that. I really do appreciate it! I have written down your contact info. and will be in touch soon. I am also very interested in coming up to camp out as well. how exciting!! Thanks for giving me something so awesome to look forward to! I also can't wait to see that gorgeous country up there...TTYS, Meg
msmegification Excellent...will look forward to continued contact with you. If you have any gift ideas to try, please consider letting us know. Take care!
Hi Barb, Thank you for posting these videos, as well documenting your interactions with the Sasquatch people. After listening to the whistle/bird-call segment, unless there is a Sasquatch responding in single notes back, what I was hearing was a robin singing. Esp, that "reverb bird song". Robin's make those calls. I hear them all the time in the morning. Its their morning "song" call. But, as for the single note replies, Id say, robin again, but it COULD be a Sasquatch mocking a robin. Anyway, looking forward to future videos, as always. Keep up the great work and thank you again for sharing your experiences.
Hi there! Thank you so much! Its great to hear from someone who knows their bird calls! And that is a bird I know is common here! I suppose the bigfoots would be very familiar with them too, and could have been mimicking them. They can be VERY good at it! But, not having seen bird or bigfoot making the whistles or song, we will never really know what it was. Personally, I am on the fence with this one. Could be either, or both. One thing I do know for sure is, it was beautiful! :)
Hi Barbara This is a great video and ringing the bell! Love love love the cam trail what sweet people that they got it for you. It looks great on the tree. See you soon on YT. 👣🐾🐾. JaeJanet
OK, go to Walmart or Target and buy a few of those $1.50 solar powered night lights. Tighten up your gifting area and put the lights up around the area. Put your trail cam 12 to 15 foot from your gifting area. Your area is not far from town because in several of the videos I think I can hear highway noise, sirens and or heavy type machinery, even gunshots. This is not a bad thing but animals do get used to man things and get comfortable with certain man things. If you can get your trail cam working and the one the other family sent pointing toward the other you should be able to get a "Crossfire" type of coverage. As for disrupting any progress you made I seriously doubt it and even if you get one photo good and clear it would be well worth it. As for the whistles, it could be a Bigfoot, but more likely to be Mockingbird more specifically in your area North American Mockingbird. the breath sounds you can hear is the mockingbird mimicking the whistle. Keep up the good work, and maybe you will have a Harry eating a Peanut butter and apple snack with you soon. Semper Fi
Wow the whistles was fantastic and sounded like a very good imitation I only say that because it kinda stumbled on first few then had it down to a tee that's same with anything and repetition? There must be a bird that dies that call else they wouldnt know it that well? Was this dusk or dawn? Oh yeah finally your in the techno group woo lol I'm more than respectful for your efforts and focus much love... Alex xx
Hi Alex! I wish I knew what kind of bird makes that sound. Maybe a viewer will recognize it. Last year all we heard was owl imitations. This year its whistles and bird song. They must get bored with the same old thing and like to learn something new. This was around 10:00 pm. :)
Hi Barb & crew - is that a bird you've ever heard before at night on the walks? The response (after the simple 'tweet') sounded like a very complicated call, but it was very precise each time. Is there anyone out there reading this in YT world who can identify this bird song? Thanks so much for the tribute to Andy Griffith, "whether it's hot - whether it's cool . . . I can't think of a better way to pass the time of day." You're bringing a lot of people joy!! Pretty cool! p
Thanks Penoba! I have heard birds singing, but never on a night walk, and never so loud! I have no idea what bird sings like this, but it would be great to find out. Thanks for the shout out to who ever might know. :)
10:07 was that a gunshot or a tree falling? Mocking Birds copy a lot of different bird calls and sometimes will whistle all night using its whole vocabulary this may be what was whistling back. That is awesome about the trail cam and night vision equipment. Great ending:)
Barbara Shupe I am understanding the North American Mocking bird is now being found in the lower Prince of Wales Island in Alaska and in Areas around Vancouver Island BC
Sorry Willy! I can't take a chance on disrupting the process of earning their trust. We will see how it works where it is for a while. If all goes well, we will move it closer. Be patient. :)
Maybe they're sharing the goodies with you and don't want to take it all for themselves. They can see the infra red beams that come out of trail cams. The infra red is intrusive, oh well.
What a great video!! The whistling gave my chills!! So cool!! Looking forward to more! Thank you so much for sharing! Just curious, what was Gabby doing as they were whistling? Most dogs respond to a whistle. :)
Hi there! I think we all had chills! Gabby was just doing what she does, standing there watching! Gabby only responds to my whistle, if I have some treats in my pocket. :)
When or if any of you are visiting the foothills of the WA. Cascades, please stop by the Greenwater General Store, 58120 SR 410 East, Enumclaw, WA. 98022. Barb is happy to share a map of where YOU can reasearch the Forest People, aka, Bigfoot. A couple of very generous viewers donated game cameras. If you would like to give a donation, please send it to the Greenwater General Store...Attn: Barb Shupe. We also appreciate your constructive feedback and ideas. Although you may not be physically be with us, some of your ideas are....this research seems to be one of trial and error. But, we are learning about this clans behaviors and preferences. AND we want photos just as you do....patience is an ongoing challenge. WE are also planning for 2015 campouts. If YOU are interested in camping with Barb and Gabby, please send her a private message. These are by invitation only... Thank you...Sandy
That whistling was AWESOME !! And the answer whistles were so consistently following Sam's, I'm sure it was no bird:) I think the mouth harp is a great idea too, I hope they have fun with it.. I'm wondering if they know what to do with the balls (?) Perhaps when you're out there with a friend you could have a game of catch (hoping they're watching and will get the idea).. Looking forward to some thermal footage ... Jude x
Hi Jude! Whatever it was, it was really awesome! I'm sure they have seen Gabby with her ball. She loves to play ball! But that's a great idea, next time Sandy's with me, we can have a game of catch at the gifting area. We'll have to bring one to throw for Gabby too! :)
The whistle sounds like it has blow by near the end of the tone. Like when there is to much air being pushed out of the mouth and it makes a shhhhhhhh sound versus the actual tone of the whistle, or whilst making the whistle tone. This one is a dilemma. Very good video though, thanks for sharing.
Hi Josh! That's a good way to describe it. There were a couple of the birdsong that made me think something like that too. Toward the middle of the song, it sounds, just for a split second, like wind blowing over lips. But, like you said, this one is a dilemma! :)
Hi Barb (and Gabby too) I'm from the UK and just gotten into your videos and now been watching them daily! You have some guts girl to take yourself and Gabby out to your gifting areas and various locations, WELL DONE!! Upon watching your first video (from 6:58 to the very end of the 1ST video) I noticed that you are being watched by two poss 3 dark figures that move quite noticeably! Please look back for yourself!!! But Bear with me: u have the upright trees growing in a "v" and have a fallen tree trunk laying between them, with THESE trees, follow the nearest to u (darkest) upright tree UP until u get to the long thin twig, you get to the trees overlooking you, WATCH HERE and run the film from 6:48 onwards to the end of the first video... THEY MOVE WITHOUT YOU MOVING THE CAMERA!
WOW! GREAT CATCH! I just commented again about it again because I have not seen any other comments about it. They are moving and they are clear as day. Thank you for this. Even though I dont think Barb knows yet. Thanks again
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hi Barb, Thanks to Tracy Morgan below, at 6:58 I too see what looks like 2 black moving figures in the background. Worth another look! I think you had some visitors that day :)
SOMETHING ELSE: BIGFOOT & DOGS. They have some 'thing' that can cause dogs to not give a care -- as I have seen much footage where people went out with their favorite canines and No Woof -- No Alerts ... Hmmmmmm. D.A.
This is something I've taken an interest in as I've always felt that taking dogs into the woods was a sure way of bringing in Bears and Mountain lions ... which it can be! Treepeekers' dog doesn't say a 'bark' either but if you can 'read' dogs you'll notice him spotting 'things' all over the place... the same with The HairyPeople's dog, a big goofy Shepherd who spots stuff all over, even straight up into the trees but the cam-dude never notices! [the awesome bird in vid singing is a male Robin btw]
hahahaha,,,really a male Robin? We teased Sam that it was probably a mating call. hahahahaha BUT... the interaction was fun and it did not like it when Sam would walk away. We hadn't heard this type of interaction with a bird before...very cool!
Regarding the BF and dog discussion.... just recently, Gabby has taken to stopping and blocking the trail on the way to one of the gift areas. She looks in the same direction each time. I don't hear anything, nor do I see anything. I mentioned this behavior to Barb and she has noted that Gabby does the same thing with her, enroute to the same area. She turns her body and blocks the trail. You have to literally walk around her and then she will follow. I know she is trying to tell me something...I am going to video this area this weekend - especially if she displays the same behavior. Any input?
Sure sounds like a bird, but who knows? I can't remember if I gave ya this suggestion Barb, but I know I've sent this suggestion to a few other researchers who never replied back. And it pertains to a harmonica, or even a cheap wooden flute. I have the idea of going out to a good location of activity in the daytime. Using as many cameras as possible, set up on tripods, facing outward in different directions. Make yourself comfortable & just begin playing around with the instrument. ( No need to know how to play the thing, just to make the sounds.) Do this for at least an hour or 2, taking a little break as needed, and maybe even turn each camera, so they're pointing to a different direction. Then review all the footage later at home. I have the theory, that when a person or small group remains stationary, the forest people tend not to feel "hunted or stalked". And I theorize that the "new sound" of a harmonica or flute would really pique their curiosity and lure them in close "for a look to see what's causing that new & beautiful sound". I think they wouldn't be so worried about the cameras, because they would notice that your not even holding or aiming a camera. Their attention would be on you playing the instrument. Shucks, I wish I lived in an area near a hot spot like yours, I would surely give that a try. Maybe even a tape recording of young kids laughing, talking, playing & screaming. I believe it would be a good technique to ADD to the things your already doing. But like I said, I have never received a reply from anyone about this idea. What do you guys think? Who knows? It may just yield "that magic daytime image" that everyone is shooting for!!! LOVE the video.......always looking forward to the next, and best of luck you guys. I'm rootin' for ya!!! Ya might have to reply by going to my YT homepage & click "about" and then click "send message". Sorry, but everyone says for some reason, they're unable to respond to my comments directly from a certain video on their own channel. Kinda weird, I know. Much Love & God Bless!!!
Hi funsweed! I don't want to chance disrupting the progress we've made. After they have time to become accustomed to it being out there, and there are no problems, I will move it closer to the gifts. Be patient, the place it is now is a really great spot too. :)
Barbara Shupe you should look into some type of locator like how they can ping a cell phone to find it. ..or even paint it a bright color. then leave the camera on the gifting stump and let them play with it as long add you can find it again. ..I don't see why they would think that is any different than any other items you leave? ? They can't put the lid on straight. ..
trail cams do not work , for the most part. I live by the coast. Nova Scotia, Canada . we have them here too. they like coming out on a quite side road across from my house at night. you can see signs of them being out every morning.
you should look at some of Mk davis's stuff.. pretty interesting.. ive heard of people stuffing cameras in teddy bears.. the cameras are always pulled out llol.
I've heard the weird trilling bird call which first starts at around 9:32 (and then you can hear it a few more times) when on camping trips in various places (I don't recall where). Is there a bird in the wild which really makes this sound? Also, do some birds vocalize at night? Perhaps upon waking? It just doesn't seem likely...
Ess Dubya : how could you say it doesn't sound like a bird ???! , that is exactly what it sounds like and there is no other creature that can mimic such sphisticated bird sounds , and it wasn't night time yet so the birds were still awake !!! .
That was fabulous!! My brother can whistle fairly well, but nothing like them!! Great job whistling the Mayberry tune!!!
Thanks D. Hoffman! It was Sam doing the whistling. :)
Awesome Barb, very exciting stuff going on. Looking forward to more recordings and flir action. Hoping the trail cam gets some action too!
Best Wishes, Kathy
Thanks Kathy! You just never know what's gonna happen next! Whatever it is, I'll bet its gonna be good! :)

I swear barb...between the harmonica and the whistling, you are going to be responsible for helping create the world's first 'Bigfoot Band'.
Well wouldn't that be COOL!!! :)
Very cool, I'm excited about the technology being implemented.
Thank you! Me too! :)

Thank you very much, John! :)
Great video! Love the whistles! I do believe some were birds but not all. I think squatch was playing along! Too cool...... -- Mojo....
Thanks Mojo! It was soooo cool! Playing bigfoot games!!! :)
I can't wait to see the thermal footage you all are doing a great job at interacting with these Forest folks...
Thanks Samuel! Keep your fingers crossed! :)

Hi Barb,
Thank you for posting these videos, as well documenting your interactions with the Sasquatch people.

Barb I'm so excited to see what you get from the trail cam!
Hi Matt! Its only a matter of time! :)
Those are definitely some type of nocturnal bird I can tell by the vocalizations!
Too cool, that's not a 🐦,they are such great mimics 💞👣
Mrs. Barbara Shupe For your Video's They are Awesome Thank You. Be Safe and Careful Out there ok God bless.👍👣
All new equipment Yea! I'm sure you are great st it now. Didn't notice the date.
Yes I can hear all those calls back with the whistles. Neat!
Hi Seeingatruth! We have taped over all the light sources, including the IR. Its totally passive! :)
Barbara Shupe hey if your hearing high pitched whistles it could be a midnight whistler. check it out

Bigfoot with the peanut butter yay I love peanuts wait it's healthy I thought it was caramel dip
I`m really glad you got another trail cam....I just wish you had put it facing the gifting area so we could see what was taking the food. :(

I know she is trying to tell me something...I am going to video this area this weekend - especially if she displays the same behavior. Any input?
Sandy Nelson Yes A Red Robin male...what a splendid accompaniment! They sing that same tune on Vancouver Island.. one of my favourite sounds! ;)
Sandy Nelson Hey folks! Hope you and Barb and Gabby girl are staying well and safe out there in your neck of the woods! peace good people!
;) xo LS
You should get a night vision camera!!!!!
Sorry, we don't want to use anything with IR. Its like bigfoot repellent. That's why we are going with thermal. :)
Hi Barb Any reason why you wouldn't aim the trail cam at the gifting area to see who is taking the gifts ?
Hi funsweed! I don't want to chance disrupting the progress we've made. After they have time to become accustomed to it being out there, and there are no problems, I will move it closer to the gifts. Be patient, the place it is now is a really great spot too. :)
Barbara Shupe Thanks Barb , answered my question Keep the vids coming , good stuff
Sasquatch love to whistle
Any luck with the trail cam yet?
If it ever gets close or you hear 1000 lbs coming closer it won't be fun. Not hating just saying. Thanks for the post.
I hope your not serious those were definitely some type of birds maybe a swallow!
We told Sam it was a mating call...the bird didn't like it when she would walk away. It was fun though...
different squatches taking different stuff
I've heard the weird trilling bird call which first starts at around 9:32 (and then you can hear it a few more times) when on camping trips in various places (I don't recall where). Is there a bird in the wild which really makes this sound? Also, do some birds vocalize at night? Perhaps upon waking? It just doesn't seem likely...
Ess Dubya : how could you say it doesn't sound like a bird ???! , that is exactly what it sounds like and there is no other creature that can mimic such sphisticated bird sounds , and it wasn't night time yet so the birds were still awake !!! .
Do you have have peacocks around there that's what they sound.
G
Lady do you really think if their there their going to come around with tour digs around, leave the damn things home and stop bringing them with you.
