Very impressive operating session with the Scaletrains CSX ac4400cw locomotives, the ac4400 is a common modern era freight locomotive and CSX owns a large roster of these engines and Scaletrains from my perspective has produced the best ac4400 model available in ho scale.
I don’t know who told you they are but they don’t. I’m on one every day running and none of the CSX CW44AC’s have or ever been equipped with distributed power.
Howdy! That is a beautiful layout! Just starting down this model railroading rabbit hole... I have become enamored with ScaleTrains locomotives. Do not have a layout yet, but have started accumulating engines and rolling stock. What are your opinions on the AC4400CWs? Nicely done and thanks for sharing 🤠
How were the DPUs programed? Had the same results when trying DPUs by MUs & advanced consisting with facture BEMF settings. The next thing I will try is to turn off BEMF on all units.
Digitax & phone on 2 large club layouts with Digitrax in both layouts. Myself & others had the same issue with rear units running faster then the front but engines would run the same speed when close together. My units were 5 Scaletrains -9s, Speed matched. I have 2 friends were also speed matched & mixed locos. All were advanced consisted. When running live helpers the throttle setting would be a couple settings slower with no problem. @@centralfloridarailroadmodelers
i have two scaletrains es44ac , nice detail, however, they both run erratically when the tracks or the wheels are just a little dirty , but my other engines dont have this problem running on the same track, kinda disappointing, i hope these ac4400cw wont have these issues
that sounds rather odd because Scaletrain engines all have the "keep-alive" feature meaning a module on the decoder has a capacitor that discharges power when an engine loses electricity going over dirty track. None of my engines from Scaletrains have the issue you mentioned. You may want to consider filing a warranty claim and have them fixed
18 cars up front and 15 in the back is hardly a heavy grain drag. 1 of those locomotives would pull that whole train. Maybe not at grade but scale trains are buff. Try harder😂🎉
I've ran trains on this layout in their ops session, its a huge layout inside an air conditioned warehouse and the lengths of their trains tackling the grades they made fits the layout and you will need a DPU.

Yes, you are right
Bought # 75 no complaints. Great video.
Great video!

To start off with, what throttle are you using?

Was that some AC traction motor noise/ screaming motors that I was hearing from those engines like on the real prototypes?
Yes sir, Scaletrains and well loksound did a great job capturing that scream for us to hear!
@@centralfloridarailroadmodelersawesome!!! Did you even have to speed match those?
not at all@@csxrailfanfoamer8118

thanks , its really odd , dont know why
I have a question for you guys , do you have any Chessie Systems engines that run on the layout?
we have a couple club members that run Chessie System on the layout
