Hello my friends, I'm Nathan from Seoul Walker.
Let's walk together on the streets of Seomyeon and Nampo-dong in Busan last April. There are fewer people on the streets than usual because of the rapidly falling temperature with the Covid19.
The video is uploaded at 7am (LA 3pm, NYC 6pm, London 11pm. Madrid 12am, Moscow 1am, Jakarta 5am) almost every morning in Korea time.

Seomyeon is the commercial center and transportation hub in Busanjin-gu, Busan, South Korea. Seomyeon is also the most crowded area in Busan, having an average floating population of 1,000,000 a day.[1] Seomyeon has three underground shopping malls meeting beneath the Seomyeon road junction, a department store, many shopping stores, bars, restaurants, movie theaters, banks, bookstores, clinics, etc.
Seomyeon has notable shopping areas, such as Seomyeon 1st Street. This area is located next to the former Cheonwujang near the intersection of the former Mariposa and the LG Electronics Seomyeon Service Center. Seomyeon 1st Street begun as a hot spot for young people, brimming with restaurants, karaoke, and shopping. In 2001, the Busan government remodeled the area with new sidewalks and street lights, and by 2005, 1st Street became known as the “Street without a car”. Seomyeon 1st Street is now the home of the Seomyeon 1st Street Grand Festival, held annually and consisting of dancing, cocktails, and quiz shows.
Seomyeon’s most famous area to shop is the Lotte Department Store, which includes an underground shopping area, as well. There are 5 stories below ground and 11 stories above. Among the shops, there is also a cinema, restaurants, and the popular hotel, Lotte Hotel Busan.
Like many other regions in Korea, Seomyeon has its own regional dishes it considers to be specialties. While enjoying the sights of the area in the summer, one can dine on milmyeon, or cold sour, sweet, and spicy noodles in meat broth. In the colder months, Seomyeon offers a dish called ttukbaegi (meaning earthen pot) stew, usually made with fermented soybean paste, soft tofu, or fish and hot pepper. This special pot allows the stew to remain hot long after it has finished cooking. Other noteworthy Seomyeon specialties include pork and rice soup, kalguksu (chopped noodles), and broiled sea eel.
Nampo-dong is a central commercial and shopping area in Busan, South Korea. Nampo-dong is in Jung District ("Central District") in the southern center of the city, bordering the city river on the north side. Served by two bridges connecting Yeongdo District to the south, Nampo-dong is also accessible by Nampo Station subway. The area mainly consists of a long north-to-south street with a large walking area with shops, cafes, restaurants, and statues or other seasonal or permanent exhibits.[1] Side streets also have numerous camera shops, and heading south the streets turn into Kangtong Market[2] ("Tin-can Market") and Gukje Market, with foreign goods and street food, as well as Jagalchi Market, with fresh seafood for sale or dining as the streets approach the harbor. On the north end of Nampo-dong is the new Lotte Department Store. On the west side a narrow elevator leads up to Yongdusan Park with its tower. Nampo Station also has an extensive series of underground shops.
Nampo-dong tends to attract a cosmopolitan crowd of Japanese tourists, Russians, and westerners. As the area has restricted car access and is in a choke-point between the two halves of the city and Yeongdo Island to the south, parking is a continuing difficulty, though the area is easily walkable and reachable by bus or subway.

늘 잘 보고 있습니다. 부산은 20여년전에 가본게 마지막이었는데... 지금은 한국을 떠난지가 15년이 넘어서 참 많이 바뀌었다는 생각이 듭니다.
제가 사는 곳은 애틀랜타인데... 너무 시골틱해서 한계점은 있지만...
서울워커님 영상은 그저 지나가는 사람들의 목소리나 차소리도 정겹게 느껴집니다.

Beautiful Busan 💙 less crowded than Seoul with nice scenery of beaches. maybe one day you can walk around Gwangju (광주)? Would love to see walking videos of that city!

부산 출신으로서 서면 지하상가를 보니 참 감회가 새롭네요^^ 부산 서면 전포동 시장 가보셨나요? 정말 볼거리, 먹을거리 많습니다. 밀면도 꼭 한그릇 드셔보시구요, 맛있는 팥빙수 집도 있습니다. 서울에서는 구경할 수 없는 소박하고 아기자기한 재미가 있는 곳이죠!! 평일이라 그런가? 서면 지하상가와 남포동 모두 지금은 사람이 많이 줄어들었네요..ㅠㅠ... 아 그립네요 ㅎ

Busan is a more relaxing place compared to Seoul in my opinion. If I am ever able to teach in South Korea, Busan would be my top choice.

I live about an hour from Busan. Been here for about 20 years. Believe me, neither one is very relaxing. Busan does have its' charms though!

Hi! Wonderful walk! And that's almost two months ago! Definitely missing foreign tourists but I think that can change from day to day. What I really like is the unitary architectural concept. If you're not a local, you can imagine being in Seoul. The clean, sunlit streets, with civilized and serene people make me feel so good, so at home for my ideal place where I would like, I would dream to live! Definitely, Busan is a great place. Thank you! 💜

빠찡코 하는데 있으면 일본관광객들이 많이 올텐데 일본에서는 동네마다 다 있습니다 전국민이 다하기때문에 관광객을 위해서 몇군데 설치했으면 좋겠습니다 그리고 남포동을 서울의 명동을 롤모델로 해서 좋은 아이디어를 시민들이 내서 외국인관광객을 끌어들여 부산제일의 명소가 되면 어떨지 모르겠네요

후반부 보면 부산은 노점상들이 골목길 중앙에 자리 잡고 장사하네요 ㅋㅋㅋ
저러니깐 미관상 보기에도 안 좋고 통행도 불편하고 무슨 제 3세계 국가 느낌,
부산시에서 저런 걸 허용해준다는 자체가 서울 촌놈인 제 입장에선 쇼킹하네요.
