2 years ago, i bought an electric blanket that goes under the bed sheet.
Something like 15€. One of my best purchases ever.
I love to sleep in a really cold room, so even in winter i have one window open.
The blanket isn't so much for the warmth, it just gets rid of all damp in the blanket.
I usually turn it on half an hour before i go to bed and it makes such a difference!
With 70 watts and a timer that turns off after 3 hours the running costs are close to nothing.
One of the few gadgets i would immediately replace should it stop working!

During the last year of my student life, I bougth a real good knife (~30€). Before that, i was using knives from my super cheap cutlery set. It was awful to cut anything with it (I think the spoon was actually sharper) so I almost never took the time to cook good meals.
With good cooking tools, I actually enjoy cooking and I want to learn more recipes so I seemlessly improve my diet and expand my horizon of food I like (and as a picky eater, it is a huge thing !)
Of course, there is a lot of cooking tools that I own and are also partially responsible for my cooking passion discovery, but the knife was the first step and it is something that will always be useful to everybody in almost all cooking situation (in comparison to a super-multi-function food processor that looks super fancy and incredible but will certainely end up collecting dust in a cupboard...)

The best gadget I have ever bought is my kindle, I love it. A close second is my electric toothbrush and then my journal 😁x
