      But hey, it took just about one year to get at 125 SEBscribers, which is not that bad of a start, only 999 875 away to go. (Lol..!) ♪
      - Firstly, I guess the channel and my content is young in this TH-cam world.
      - Secondly, there are so many other tutorials/options that have been already published by very talented people,
      which have a considerable following., and that have been way more visible for many years
      on this platform/this immense world of TH-cam and their algorithms.
      - Thirdly maybe the fact that I play over the original owners' tracks/publishers/ copyright claims must not help? ♪

      Still, nevertheless, I do my best to provide an excellent unconditional product.♪
      I sincerely share this for ALL Steely Dan's lovers that look forward to elevating

      It is quite a pleasure to read such a lovely and touching comment. ;^) ♪
      If it was the agony of the learning process to perform correctly any of the Steely Dan songs
      (which to my liking "Only a fool would..." is one of the easiest), I completely understand what you're sayin'. ;^) ♪
      It's double the pleasure! I kinda do those tutorials for my learning process first, but to sincerely and unconditionally want to share,
      this new and unique musical knowledge to people like you /Steely Dan lovers (mainly guitarists) in the back of my mind. ;^) ♪
      Believe me, after I finish any of those tutorials, I really / finally know them by heart.
      But I wouldn't lie to you that I had to come back a few times to refresh my memory. ;^) ♪
      I'll publish my nineteenth tutorial (Dirty Work) in a couple of days.
      And I intend to produce/ animate 60+ songs/ 80% of their musical masterpieces in the next couple of months. ;^) ♪
      So you'll have the rest of your life to practice correctly and in-depth, whatever is your favorite Steely Dan's track. ;^) ♪

      Well in a reciprocal way, I genuinely appreciate your humbling comment, sir. ♪
      And indulge me for not having responded sooner, amigo. ♪
      I sincerely put a lot of effort into being consistent, and I've put a lot of thinking (with the help of a loyal SEBscriber Mr. Bruce Siegel) into the concept/format design, so I can read more interaction like yours, that expresses what I truly like to read about my dedication.♪
      One day in a couple of years (two?) I'l step out of the Steely Dan theme after having animated/produced at least 80 to 85 songs of them (including some of Donald Fagen's solo career, too), and will explore and provide content from other artists and/or band formation, and diversify my catalog. ♪
      But heck, there are so many gems of musical composition from Steely Dan that I' 'll go all in. (my guitar has improved so much since I've started this endeavor into their career).♪
      The best is yet to come, stay always tuned.♪

      Alors depuis ce tragique incident d'il y a six semaines (pour moi car beaucoup de travail/50 heures min,) j'ai recréé la backing trame sonore de mon cru, en y investissant un autre 20 heures pour mixer et enregistrer la musique (les guitares + drum track) sans les paroles (ça c'est moins grave, mais la musique par contre..!) ♪
      ---------------------------------------
      J'ai techniquement commencé les travaux, la fondation de ce tutoriel *Green Flower Street* il y a un an en octobre 2021. Ensuite j'ai tranquillement repris le travail de compléter la leçon lorsque Gilles était toujours parmi nous, je l'ai terminé (la version avec la musique originale qui fut bloquée) Gilles n'était plus parmi nous et entre ce temps tu as effectué un fantastique voyage de quasi 4000 KM de moto (wow ) ♪
      D'ailleurs bravo et massive-respect d'avoir eu la détermination de faire un voyage qui fut sûrement physiquement lourd?, mais agréable garanti. ♪
      Honnêtement c'est pas en moi d'avoir le courage de faire ce genre d'aventure.
      (peut-être en voiture?).♪

      Y'a trois choses que j'aimerais souligner en ce qui concerne mon développement + intérêt pour jouer de la musique/la guitare et deux fonctions dans mes tutoriels que j'aimerais te faire part.♪
      #1- Sans équivoque
      c'est toi qui m'a inspiré et motivé d'apprendre la guitare/devenir un musicien♪
      #2- Dans les introductions/mes ouvertures de tutoriels, le fait que j'invite les gens et que je met religieusement l'emphase pour que TOUS utilisent la fonction (dans les paramètres/settings de TH-cam) de pouvoir ralentir la vitesse du playback sans atténuations/tout en restant dans le même pitch (ce qui est hyper-pratique et fantastique), c'est à cause de toi, car quand (à mes débuts,) tu m'avais partagé le fait que toi et quelques amis musiciens, trouvaient que ça déroulait trop vite pour bien exécuter et/ou apprendre fluidement.♪
      #3- Comme tu a peut-être remarqué? depuis spécialement 2022, (quand c'est nécessaire et que ça ne fait pas que suivre/*fly over* les root notes) j'anime même la BASSE , et ce nouveau rajout (quand t'es guitariste pas compliqué d'émuler/comprendre qu'est-ce joue la basse) est aussi inspiré par le fait que lorsque qu'on se verra, nous pourrons s'amuser de les jouer ensemble (et un jour peut-être avec Gloria au piano?) et c'est un win-win pour inspirer les gens à partager mes contenus, à une plus grande variété de musiciens de toutes langues.♪

      Agreed, I personally got more aware of Steely Dan in my forties, (ten years ago) though I had knowledge and/or heard their classics *Do It Again*,, *Rikky Don't Lose That Number*, Reeling In The Years., and a few more maybe two?...♪
      But with the magic of the internet algorithms, I got introduced to this (IMO) amazing album *Two Against Nature*, and was totally flabbergasted by the musicianship, the song structures, and their array of unusual chord progressions,♪
      I was overwhelmingly sold on their music craftsmanship, I dove deeper only to discover that I appreciate more than 80 songs in their catalog of nine albums. Not forgetting the rich and high-quality of their recording, that are so pleasing to my ears.♪
      ----------
      But as a soldier of guitar, I tend to appreciate their later album from Gaucho, Two Against Nature, The Nightfly (Donald Fagen solo), Aja, and The Royal Scam,. The unmatched quality of the elite session musician they've hired, makes me enjoy their later stuff a little bit more because, for one good mention, you've written; It's more exotic indeed (lol..).♪

    Someone from a Steely Dan FB group posted this. I've tried other "how to" videos and yours beats them all! Some chord shapes I've never played before, easy to follow!! Just want to thank you for doing these!! Keep up the great work!

      Hey, thanks a bunch, Mr. Joe Flemming. Imagine how you'd feel receiving such a nice comment. ;^) ♪
      Put it this way, I think that where I distinguish myself is this ability/ years of knowledge to operate the software "After Effects" and the fact that I have time too. ;^) ♪
      My rigging is now quite tuned and set-up (after months of thinking, trial + errors)
      to produce regular tutorials that still require over an hour of keyframing work for each 5 to 7 seconds of animation. :^) ♪
      For these results, you need both experienced knowledge of music/ guitar playing
      and years of experience with advanced graphic and animation software (and proper recordings too) :^) ♪
      If I had (been playing guitar for a long time) the agony of dissecting Steely Dan's structures and chords progressions
      (and all the subtle details) through the internet and never found that much proper/ dynamic and detailed explanation,
      mostly finger visualization and tons of long talking head that takes a while before getting to the point (but better than nothing & was helpful after all) :^) ♪
      Thrilled you've enjoyed and noticed some differences/an upgraded way of presenting musical lessons. :^) ♪

      The funny fact is I became aware of you two nice fellows and your channel (1 year and a half/two years ago? from the FB Steely Dan Fan page) when you guys had around 29000 subscribers showing up your genuine reactions on many Steely Dan songs and albums. (heck 100% more subscriptions today, respect). ♪
      I have often shared some of my tutorial links (within your comment sections) concerning the same song you were reacting to. ♪
      Seeing so many beautiful guitars and instruments behind you both, I thought to myself, if it's the first time they hear these songs and they're both musicians, I think they'd be delighted to learn them swiftly as well? (especially Nick, knowing that Lex is primarily more of a student/basic skilled guitarist). ♪

      But in the end, who cares if I haven't got any YT replies in the past, you have found it on your own, which I think has tremendously more value than force-feeding it (lol..). ♪
      (BTW, having soon 3000 SEBscribers, and not that of a big load of comments within my videos, trying to respond to all of them (my way . Lol..) is already very time-consuming. And I think (from what I see) the number of comments you guys receive on two or three videos combined, already has more comments and likes of all my 45 Steely Dan (and Donald Fagen solo career) tutorials/lessons. ♪
      With the substantially (20X) bigger membership, you guys have, I can only and rationally understand that most probably you can not read and especially respond to them all, and/or that it can be easy to miss some in the process of reading them.♪

      Since the inception of my first tutorial *Glamour Profession* three years and a half ago September 19th, 2019, I've dedicated a monstrous amount of time, to working on the concept and producing my lessons.♪
      Though it's my choice, my ambitions, and my standards that lead me to what is my visual animated graphics design, from my experience it requires humbly and honestly, 11 hours of work for EACH minute of video animation you see. ♪
      Today with 45+ Steely Dan tutorials that are 5 to 6-minutes on average each, so 45 X 5.5 = more or less 250 hours of animated lessons X 11 hours per minute = 2750 hours of tedious keyframing, practicing and making sure I provide a fine final result.♪

      Let's not compare oranges and apples, but can you imagine how many first-time reaction videos you could have done in 2750 hours (lol..).♪
      But again, I don't have your guys' charm/charisma, this easiness to express/present yourselves in front of the camera. (Lex has such a beautiful smile, and her eyes pierce the lens (lol..). ♪
      And from the many first-time reaction video channel on TH-cam, there are, you guys stand out, and communicate very-well your feelings and Nick's musicianship and knowledge, add a lot of pertinence.♪

      Again this well-appreciated appreciation of yours, coming from successful YT channel creators, with so many educative guitar channels and subscription options on the internet, and combined with this well-felt enthusiasm expressing I have a beautiful channel, your SEBscription has a special meaning, truly motivates me, and lets me know that slowly but surely, I'm on the right direction for a bright future on TH-cam. ♪

      As far as the scrolling down part of your comment,
      I religiously suggest all viewers/Sebscribers, slow down the playback speed,

      It's kind of unfair presentation-wise, 'cause it takes many skills to present something like this. ;^) ♪
      First of all, having enough guitar experience to prove I can play them by filming myself. ;^) ♪
      Secondly, it takes many years of trial and errors with complex software like "After Effects" to be able to manage meticulous animation/ relentless keyframing (thousands) and hundreds of layers to synchronize + practicing the song to capture/ film THE ONE TAKE SHOT, out of (average) 20 takes, ;^). ♪
      So It's not every guitar teacher with the abilities and musical theory knowledge to combine all this.
      Thankfully I have time and the will because these animations take an average of 40 hours to finalize. ;^) ♪
      But my template took me months/ years to conceived and adjusted,
      but now in 2021, I think my "After Effects" rig, it's pretty fine-tuned. ;^) ♪

      It's the primary purpose to simplify songs with complex guitar chord changes (especially Steely Dan's). ;^) ♪
      I wouldn't be surprised that the majority of curious guitarists that loves to learn saves tons of hours (more than 20 on average per song)
      avoiding trying to figure out by themselves the whole complexity of SD's voicings and dense, subtle chord changes. ;^) ♪
      And this one (in my opinion) is one of the most accessible SD songs to learn so far. ;^) ♪

    What a great lesson - not a bunch of talking and great clear video with tab. Use the slow down feature and pause if I miss something. I've been playing for years and your choices of chord voicings/etc. are "practical" and usable. Liked and subscribed!

      As far as I'm concerned, I'm not a big fan, too, of the long & often tedious
      selection of talking heads video guitar lessons.♪
      It doesn't take off their undeniable competencies and precious musical information,
      but I'm sincerely pleased to read that you enjoy the no talking and straight-to-the-point SD lessons,
      because I know it's more effective (and thanks, too, to YT for their slowing down the playback speed option
      in their settings) and I know it will cater to lots of musicians preference, as a learning format/visual method.♪
      But trust me, I would highly doubt, that there are many folks like me
      who as 40 years of guitar experience combined with 5 intense years of learning
      this very complex editing software *After Effects*, that enables me to produce
      these advanced animated guitar chord progressions.♪
      Not just that, but the fact there is no talking,
      technically it should be understood comprehensively in all languages, too?
      And tablatures with numbers, never been able to follow them,
      always preferred to have music sheets. But even though I can be perceived as biased
      I definitely prefer what I call *my animated musical notes/sheets*, that I proudly share
      with you all, for an easier ride toward learning their outstanding music catalog.♪

      I do this for guitarists, and they're the ones who really appreciate it the most/ they understand the musical, visual language is laid out before their very eyes. ;^) ♪
      Till there is more (I say this humbly), advanced guitarists that have the experience and the will to edit (with "After Effects" or another software)
      long and tedious animations like these, I'm sure my method will remain in a category of its own. ;^) ♪
      (99.999%) of tutorial formats are English talking head format, and wait (average) 3 minutes before clearing the first chord explanation.
      Well, another 30 to go..(with SD, obviously)..lol. .;^) ♪
      For that matter, I like to believe that opening the boundaries of languages by capitalizing on the visuals, English is definitely the most significant player in the world of learning (especially Steely Dan), so I hope people, in general, will be motivated/ not hesitate to share it within other cultures and their different languages. ;^) ♪

      The amp is (sorry I can't post commercial links in the description, so just copy and paste, you'll get there instantly)
      - BOLT BTC-50 guitar amp, made in the USA, Celestion, 6L6 or EL34, FX loop, reverb, Loaded with features! -
      There's the one single 12-inch open-back version, but I own the four 10-inch Patriots open-back (so heavy) BTC-50 model. ♪
      Truly a rich tone versatile tubed amplifier, that has a patented line-out for recordings, that emulates either, an ON or OFF axis microphone. Straight out of the body. quite impressive, and the recording sounds as good as what you hear live. ♪
      If I choose to add an external microphone for recordings, most probably we would get more of the speaker's intensity and grain,

      that he had ordered a long time ago, to finally stop procrastinating after years and built it up, with some prefered pickups.♪
      The guitar is officially and named (if you can notice the change of letter on the head of the neck)

      Like you said, all their tracks are more accessible than any of their 8 other albums. ;^) ♪
      But "Deacon Blues" (and for any other more complicated/ advanced songs), In TH-cam parameters,
      if you slow-down the playback and set it up at 75% or 50% of its average speed (yes, without losing the pitch)
      the learning processes are astonishingly easier. Try "I got the News," the average rate ain't fair .. lol..! ;^) ♪
      But what distinguishes the winning and magic word in your phrase? It's not that it's easy but EASIER!
      'Cause with Steely Dan, easiness is technically nonexistent, and that's where I come in, to simplify things! ;^) ♪

      A slightly different approach, I admit. You need a lot of time on the side and a few (4) years of programming/ keyframing, with advanced software like " After Effects" and a few more, like Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Ableton Live. These EACH can take me an average of 5 days (40 hrs + ) to produce and learn. ;^) ♪
      But a few things we have in common, though,; the love for Steely Dan and have the pleasure of having folks learning great music/ Steely Dan.
      And appreciating through our unconditional action of publishing tutorials for the people to learn or at least help them get a step closer. ;^) ♪
      I've visited more of your channel. I really enjoyed the father and daughter Elton John's duet. What a voice ;^) ♪
      I see you've experimented with green screen with Eric Clapton in a desaturated image/black and white...
      So I see you have some kind of advanced software. In all, pretty good job, but as you've most probably noticed,
      dealing with visual FX software is quite an adventure when you wanna go in-depth to learn all the many details to oversee.
      And it constantly has to be used regularly like learning a new language.
      If you don't practice, it's so easy to forget the little somebody has already learned. ;^) ♪
      I also see your few videos about your tragic health event that has handicapped your abilities to perform guitar like in the younger years /before that event.

      The *R* stands for the ROOT BASS note of the chord displayed. ♪
      The only thing I can think about what could make your Am sound bad is that if you put your finger when the ROOT NOTE is highlighted IN WHITE, it's because it's an OPEN STRING that is required. ♪
      Other than that, make sure (especially for the BLUE BARRE/the index) to focus on the *R* as the star of the chord position. ♪
      ---------------------
      When the *R* open A string is required, If without knowing or by mistake you put your finger on the first fret, therefore playing a Bb, the chord becomes an *Am/Bb*, which is indeed very odd sounding (lol...). ♪

      ​@SEB:EDIT thank you very much! An hour and a half ago i noticed my right hand was the problem, that fixed my Am issue, now to get faster with certain chord changes. A few more practice sessions and then Night by night will be my next SD song to learn!

      @@LiteralApe Haaa..! I haven't thought about the *Front View* perspective which can be confusing for those (like you?) who are used to looking at charts that are displayed as if it was the guitarist's top-view perspective. ♪
