Really enjoyed this lesson. For some strange reason, this finger picking style comes more naturally to me and great to get more direction on ways to play it. I love the sound. Thanks so much!

Mark Knopfler does not use his ring or pinky finger. He plays a variation of the claw-hammer banjo technique and instead rests his ring and pinky fingers on the guitar and using them as a guide to keep the others steady. You can see this if you watch any videos of live shows or interviews. This is not Mark's technique because he doesn't play with his ring finger. I would suggest watching him play to get a better understanding as this is how I learnt to play like him. Do not make a video on his right hand technique if it is wrong.

Do you think it would be mistake for beginner to learn guitar as MK in form of T-index-middle and forget about ring finger?

Yes and no. You should be able to play both ways in the end. I wouldn't worry too much about it

Totally off topic but is that a Bulgarian accent or do my ears decide? Haven't had any military training since 2004 during deployment, but I qas the go to dude in our platoon, and sometimes the whole battery for identifying accents. Whether being spoken in english or theyre native tongue, I could call it. So pleaase tell me I haven't lost it and that fantastic accent began its origin story in Bulgaria?🤠
