Great belcanto style, wonderful coloratura and acting skills...combined with an outstanding musicianship....always passionate about her art, Klara offers and unique, emblematic interpretation of this particularly tricky Bellini scene. It's not always easy to give a sense to this unstable character, especially in such a mediocre production, however, Klara Kolonits always finds her way to build her characters and highlight the greatness of this score in her unique fashion. Exquisite.

I have listened to this video so often now. I Puritani is my favourite Bellini opera and Miss Kolonits voice here always makes me cry! What a gift!!!

I still prefer traditional staging and costumes for classical operas. This looks like a concertante production.
I prefer traditional conducting too... like Serafin, Votto, etc..
