I have a sawgrass sg 1000. There is an option in the print manager where you can view what your tumbler will look like before printing your design. It’s a nice feature.
@dezidehart6855 what ink are you using? I have the EasySubli in my sawgrass and the prinkts aren't bold. After some research, I discovered that Subli is suitable for T-shirts while SubliJet is best for hard surfaces. If you know how I can adjust my settings for a bolder look, please let me know.
@@kirstiegreen6557you have to make sure both the print settings and the designing app have the same print settings depending on what material you using!
I have that printer. It is so cool that the program tells you temperature and time for what you are sublimating. Tumbler is really pretty. Wish I could get a tumbler press. I just have the mug and cup press.
Hello patty where does it tell you the time and temperature? I recently got the sawgrass and I am Having a hard time finding the correct time and temperature for the shirts
I watched the video and do you need to make your image a full page for a 20 oz. Skinny tumbler? I just bought the Sawgrass SG500 and I am confused about how to size items like 20 oz skinny tumblers and spinners. I used to use Silhouette Studio, but would like to learn to do everything on the Sawgrass. I am also confused about the PrintMate ‘jobs’ tab if I need to change the height & width there also?? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Hello, now that you've has the experience using the Epson 15,000 printer and converting it to sublimation vs using the Sawgrass printer, what would you recommend? If you had to do it over, would you have paid more to start with the Sawgrass?
I would like to Print out the paper like you show here, and then use my cricut design space, to choose and cut designs on the paper, then sublimate on items. Is that possible?
Congratulations on your Sawgrass. I love mine. Honestly not a fan of their Creative Studio, but I love my printers. Looking forward to seeing more of what you make with yours. 😀
Yes I understand. From what I've heard you make sure your customer pays for the ink- not us. So charging accordingly on your products, as well as I'm going to see how many uses I get out of each. Hopefully a comparison video is coming soon! 😊
I want this printer but here in Canada it’s 1,074.99 😮 so expensive , please let me know if it’s worth it or should I get Epson ET-2750 which I’d $549.99🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Hello I have a small business I started a few months ago I make custom license plates I have a Epson eco tank 2803 but I noticed I have some trouble with it some times I’m looking to upgrade to the saw grass 500 is it worth the upgrade? Thanks
question, just set up my SG500 and it will only print blue! I've done a print test and it looks like all the cartridges are fine, then I try and print an image and its totally blue!! No other colors! So frustrating.
I was so torn between the Sawgrass sub printers and the Epson ET-15000. I don't think the quality of the Sawgrass can be beat but the price point for the printer and the ink cartridges it uses are so much higher. I am definitely keeping the Sawgrass in mind if it turns out I love sublimation (pretty sure I will) and I can make money at it. Thanks for another great video!
I have both the ET-15000 and a SG500 and in my opinion the color output on the sawgrass is better when matching to specific colors. The ET is fine if it’s something I’m designing and don’t need to match to a specific color or I can select the colors from a color chart(not a pre-made png design).
I love my epson 2720 and the colors depend on your image and what you choose, i use presentation quality. And being an ecotank the in lasts forever and very cheap.
I had a SG500 printer; but they had a mandatory update on the firmware and from there on; I couldn’t use generic ink; I had to purchase their own inks…which are super expensive! Sold it and bought a Epson sub printer F570; and an eco tank for smaller sub prints.

Hello, I've been having problems with this printer since I got it, specifically Print Manager. Lets just say that it pops up when it wants to. I've ask Sawgrass for help thousands of times. It'll work for 1 or 2 days. Meaning, it will pop up after I click print. and then it STOPS popping up. Would you be able to help me?
Is the sawgrass more accurate for color than a converted Epson printer? I have trouble getting the colors to come out correctly sometimes. I love all your videos. Always so helpful.
Have you added the ICC profiles to your converted printer for your specific ink and paper? It makes the colors way more accurate. A lot of ink suppliers offer icc profiles for their inks for the printer and paper you’re using. It makes a huge difference! I use hippo inks for my converted Epson and hippo ink provides the icc profiles for my epson with their ink and the type of sub paper I use.
I am getting the sawgrass sg500. I’m wondering how the machine worked for you? Also how much computer knowledge do you need? I try, but this will be my first time even trying sublimation. I have watched you for a while. Would love for you to give me all the advice you can give me. Thank you. Karen
Hi - this is the 3rd unboxing and setup video for the SG500 I've watched. I don't understand why in these videos you all have the multiple paper options to choose from and I only have the Tru Pix option. I can't get an answer from SawGrass support either.
Hi! do you have any problems with your reds being dull or not as vibrant? What measurements do you use for your 20oz skinny tumbler? great content by the way❤
I FOUND THE ANSWER!!!! Oh my goodness this is career changing!! I had my sublimation paper loaded wrong!!!! My reds kept sublimating pink, my blanks were just so blah. I kept studying last night and finally found a video saying you have to load the sublimation paper BRIGHT SIDE DOWN. I came and checked my paper, it was not loaded correctly. So this morning, I loaded the paper correctly and OH MY GOODNESS!!! My reds are RED!!!! I pray this helps you.
Hi, the prints will always look opaque and off, not till you actually heat press them onto a sublimation approved surface that you will see colors much closer to the artwork you created.
How do you like your sg500 vs ET15000. I have a sg500 , but I’m wanting to sublimate on 13 x 19. The sg1000 is out of the budget. What sublimation ink would you recommend for ET15000?
The sawgrass ink is very expensive in the UK at £50 a cartridge, if bought cheaper ink can I mix sawgrass ink and the cheaper in that’s from Amazon called print and ink for £23
That's what I'm comparing now. It's over $300 to get all ink colors from sawgrass. Im seeing the cheaper inks but using those unfortunately voids your warranty. 😧
They have compatible ink but it voids your warranty. I'm trying to decide if I want this or not.. as the ink is over $300 for all colors. That's insane to me. 😳

I will never purchase any of their equipment again. After having mine for a year, my prints started having lines on the paper. Come to find out, Sawgrass is forcing you to purchase THEIR ink by recognizing you’re not using “authentic ink” which is 300 dollars vs the 70 dollars I pay for aftermarket ink”. If you try to print outside their program for example Photoshop, they will print in low quality. Basically you purchased a product that they have CONTROL over as if they still own it. Just an absolutely disgusting company.

It does but only when you use the templates. You don’t have that when you use the custom canvas.
