- Let’s go beachcombing on Lyme Regis beach!
We love travel, adventure and interesting things to do. We are starting our channel now, with the intention of it becoming full time when we go on the road throughout Europe in our motorhome/RV when we retire in 2 years time. Till then, we are going to find loads of interesting things to do here in the UK.

You cant possibly be a fossil. We 64 babies are still sprightly....... well, some days I am lol It was great fun searching :D
Ive been there...love the beautiful huge smooth grey boulders.....and at a beach a few miles along there were just tiny pebbles..and on another just hand sized pebbles of a rust colour....interesting how they all knew which beaches to land on!
Incredible 🙃 We love Lyme Regis, because as well as the neat way the pebbles each choose the right beach, every change of the tide reveals so much trash & treasure. 🙂😎🐼

pretty sure this is an old rubbish dump that is being eroded into by the sea; read about it somewhere. Small fortune in scrap there, perhaps we should start mining old tips
Yes, Colin, when this dump first spilled onto the beach it was on the national news, and with the price of scrap these days, you're probably right, mining tips would prove profitable. Thanks for watching 🙂😎🐼

Yes, amazing how very old and virtually new both lie on the beach together!
@@LetsgowithTheJohnsons I'm surprised someone hasn't removed the junk from the beach.
@@galatura I think the local council is struggling with the costs of trying to stop the terrible coastal erosion, so this sort of thing has to go on the back burner. You'd think a savvy scrap dealer would offer to clear it away free of charge, so he gets to sell it and also gets promotion by the TV etc for being so benevolent :)
@@LetsgowithTheJohnsons Yes, that would a good thing, really don't want to see our beaches littered with old junk. The council up here in the North East along Surfers against sewage do regular beach cleans. . I was out at Marske by the Sea last week and the beach was really clean.

Thanks Melinda! Problems with the metal detector :( Bought it second hand on Ebay but trying to get it returned as in bad condition, even though it was sold as excellent, and the seller is having none of it. It will be a few weeks before I get it sorted and get another one. Ah well :)
Do not worry keep at them and get money back be like a dog with a bone.
Will do :) I am impatient to get one, but have to wait till 13th Jan before Ebay will step in. Sooo frustrating!
Keep us up dated on how it goes. I hope you get your money back and then get another and find all sorts of treasures.
