Jerica here- I’m so glad my book got to you guys safely, for the record I DID NOT know the hard cover would be so darn big when I had it mailed to you both, I found out how big the hardcover was after ordering a few to be delivered to me that I sent to close friends and family; if I had I know how big the hard cover was I would’ve just sent you the paper back version. Oh well, it’s not that big of a deal honestly, I just find it funny that it’s SO big.
Makes me think of when my neighbour adopted his puppy. So my dog was (😢) around Jack Russell size, so not very big and was friends with our neighbour. But when he adopted his puppy, suddenly he felt that my dog was gigantic! And felt that way until his dog grew past mine. It was really funny each time we were going for walks and he asked my dog "man how much you've grown! 😅"
Oh man, the Rhapsody in Blue segment in Fantasia 2000 is my *favorite* as it also introduced me to Rhapsody in Blue which had become a favorite of mine.
20:00 reminds me of a tumblr post where people were confused about lemonade stands because what they call "lemonade" is Carbonated in several countries apparently
I feel Stephen's pain in trying to share some more serious movies with friends. Comedies are the best with friends but at the same time, there are so many good serious and deep movies but they can be a bit too heavy for groups. Alas it's a fun time either way.
AAAAAA I'm so glad my package got to you and you liked it! I laughed at how Stephen pronounced Yakima, but it was a good laugh. The keychains for those curious were a bead designed lizard thing, a singular flip flop, and the best friends ones were the oreo and the milk bottle. I'm glad I got some laughs from you both, and glad you like the Celeste card too. Also Correction: I said I had gotten TWO of the same Celeste card, not 20, like it sounded like you said. But it's fine
Lol love that 1965 when "The Great Race" was released 35 years ago when it's 6 years older than me and I'm over 50 myself lol. All to say that movie is and would be considered today as a golden oldie. (technically, it's not, based on the movies era, but in terms of today to back then it is.) Boy, I'm really old lol😂😂😂 To think when the vlogs itself started I was 38 then omg lol how time does really fly.
On my 28th birthday a week ago, I was able to pick up a copy of The Best Of Mickey Blu-Ray set containing Fantasia, Fantasia 2000, and Celebrating Mickey, which was available at Wal-Mart. I may be mixed on Fantasia, but Fantasia 2000 is in my top five of the Animated Disney Canon, and while Celebrating Mickey is missing a few noteworthy cartoon shorts such as Clock Cleaners, Lonesome Ghosts, Magician Mickey, and Mr. Mouse Takes A Trip, it's still a decent selection of shorts. Hopefully, Stephen and Mal can someday experience both Fantasia films someday, as I'm curious to what their thoughts would be.
So glad you guys liked my gifts ❤ if you want to share/regift anything I won't be offended I know some stuff might not be everyone's cup of tea. Thank you for the compliment about the art aesthetic in regards to Dead Sled Brand. I will be sure to share that with the owner. He will be very flattered. Much love to you all. I will send another package again soon.
The Great Race is a long but fun time! Some of it I'd describe as a Looney Tunes cartoon turned live action surprisingly well I had that Richard Scarry collection as a kid, loved it!
1:01:00 Oh man, LotR Conquest was one of my favorite games to play with one of my friends as a teenager. Definitely not the deepest game, but Lord of the Rings is a good fit for Star Wars Battlefront-style gameplay. I'm particularly fond of the villain campaign, which acts as an alternate ending to the original story.
After searching many international stores, I finally found Boss coffee in Jungle Jims. But the ones they sell in the US (I think exclusively through Amazon) are filled in the US, not Japan. I am wondering if they taste different. Stephen and Mal, do you remember it tasting differently in Japan?

I always listen to mail episodes while trying to catch up on folding laundry 🧺
3:30 that's coming from someone whose made a 5000+ part series.
Someone lied to me. I thought I was in my late 50s but I just found out I am only 35 years old. Thank you Stephen and Mal for clearing that up!

I love it too! It always upsets me not many talk about it... I don't understand why 2000 is so looked down upon because it has so much good in it!

17:36 Fantasia 2000 had three release dates: 12/17/1999 (Carnegie Hall), 1/1/2000 (IMAX), and 6/16/2000 (US)

19:46 It's a Fantle.
"Fanta and Fanta Sia" could've been the title :P
I watched that Richard Scarry show too, but I also remember playing a Richard Scarry game when I was little.. I think on the Sega Genesis?
I feel you guys on the excitement for Boss coffee lol, it's such a pain buying exported drinks from Asia in the US.

It's been quite a few years since I had a Rainbow Boss from Japan, but I believe it's the same thing!
