Came here for the first time yesterday after discovering it on Google Maps. A lovely little place to spend the afternoon including a walk around the lake.
That's seriously one of the best history vids I've seen on TH-cam. You gave us exactly what we want without any annoying narration or effects. I could definitely watch more like this. Feeling particularly grateful as I have an ancestral connection to West Stow, albeit in more recent history. Thank you!
Visited today with the kids, fantastic place, being inside the houses with the smell of wood smoke and the feel of o!d oak timbers really does transport you back in time, great museum and cafe too.
Hooray for the schools who are binging the kids here. In time, many of them will remember all they saw. I'm sure that now they are more interested in the cafe!
Great place to visit when there's a re-enactment weekend. Check out www.weststow.org. A day out that three generations can enjoy. A sneaky way of fitting in a bit of education out of school time. Children tend to ask things like 'is that real sheep's fleece?' Amazing how distant the current generation are from the reality of farming and food production.

The museum and anglo Saxon village is well worth a visit folks. Lovely part of the UK too.
