I had no idea about that "Lead Angle" game. It looks like the Punisher meets Punch Out, so that captures my interest for sure. Thanks for letting us know!
Definitely seems like some Engrish, but Lead Angle is actually a decent name for a game about giving gangsters an acute case of lead poisoning. See, I even threw in an angle without being too obtuse!
Hi Simon. The good folks who put out the MSXVR are putting up Pre-orders now for thier MSXVR Pocket. I have no idea if they are doing a second round of Pre-Orders. As this one will be over by the time of your November video.
Wait... why did Skyblazer need a fan translation? That game was already available in English. I have a boxed copy I bought from a rental store when it was shutting down.
My guess would be that the translation may have been a little limited or perhaps had errors in it, and this one has more time and effort put into it... but that's just my speculation, since if that's not the case I really don't get why they'd make a new translation either.
Yeah most likely a retranslation. You get a lot of those in the RPG community because of the loose way that some translations were done, inserting American jargon or pop culture references into games where they did not originally exist. Good job on hanging onto that boxed copy. The game is insanely expensive these days!
The Last Ninja collection also includes a version of, I think, Last Ninja 2 that's for the NES as a stretch goal! Looking forward to playing these for the first time, since they were all before my time. That, and the expanded Atari collection aside, what most intrigues me here is that Sunsoft is Back collection. Not because I think the games look SUPER-cool or anything, but that they actually translated a bunch of obscure NES game (in the west) to English! If encouraging this gets me more brand-new localization of REALLY old games, they will have my money.
wizardry is almost forgotten in the west meanwhile as invasive species it procreated in hihon and entirely ate the native style of rpgs so all rpgs there are just clones of wizardry
I've been taking a break from 'tube lately but there's always time when Simon uploads. 👍
I don't need guards to escort me... I'll leave when the ad starts playing.
Great to possibly have a new Layton game on the horizon! It's crazy that licenses as big as that was never archived!

Thank you!
Lead Angle? Wasn't the game originally called Dead Angle in arcades? or is that some weird Engrish going on there?

@@obsoleteworlds Just to be clear, I said SKY Blazer (which is a side-scroller.... you're thinking of SOUL Blazer).
The Professor Layton game sounds interesting.. it's been a while since we had a new one
First!, 2 hrs later. Great work, are we getting a Parma Violets round-up on the 31st?

The NES version is an abomination. I wouldn't be stretching very far for that one!
