Despite my various concerns regarding this game... Portal is still an excellent feature. It works well for the most part. Greatly building upon and improving it could be one way to save 2042 if they can at all.
Based on 1st week sales the game seems to be doing fine and does not need to be saved. Yes all do not like it but you could say that about every battlefield game including BF4 which is now heralded as the best of the series.
Ironic that the best part of the game is the one that takes content from previous games. One improvement that portal could take is the monetization of the servers so that permanent servers could be made, and if DICE could implement that first party they could benefit from it (as if).
If the CPU problems are caused by the 128 player modes this also may be a way to work around this issue. Create games back with fewer players, and improve performance.
Portal is awesome. One shot headshots all day. Only thing I ask is... Add more bf2+bf3(dev peak rush? Dice Please?)& close quarters+BC1&2& Vietnam+bf4maps/weapons/ sights(copy bf4 sights)/ BF4 gun skins and private servers and people might be willing to buy dlc/season pass
I think a few comments pointed at Flak are a bit unfair considering how this game has put many content creators in an awkward position. People act like they know what contracts are in place or assume EA owns creators…you know what happens when you assume. I believe this channel has integrity and is doing its best to put out quality content.
Would have been nice if Dice allowed the older maps to be played in regular 2042 all out warfare conquest game mode instead of locking them off so they can only be played in Portal. But that would have been a good decision for them to make and they seem to be steering clear of those with this release of BF lol. At least they're slowly working on the game to fix what should have been done before release but still the game could do with an injection of new maps to play & soon.

I suspect this video would not have a lot of thumbs down as PORTAL is one of the highlights of BF2042 and people are interested. Especially people who may be interested in buying the game.

Love letter? I think not, especially with no weapon, gadget, or xp progression. There is literally no incentive to play it unless you are forced to progress through the dumpster fire that AOW is or just farm bots on solo AOW modes just to progress the weapons so you can enjoy the experience. They really missed an opportunity here.

Guys, don't buy Battlefield 2042, it's not worth it. This game is a lost cause and nothing what Battlefield fans wanted. Playerbase already dropped by 70% after just 3 weeks. Portal sounds good in theory, but the old games are just a reskin of BF2042. They don't play like the actual old games. So many things wrong with this Battlefield, things that can't be changed easily, unless they completely revamp it. But that would take a lot of time and money. EA and Dice know they can't save this game and try to cash in on microtransactions and season passes before all players have left. Getting abandoned like BFV. In my opinion this series is dead, just an empty shell of what was once a great franchise. Now it's a clone of Call of Duty, Warzone, Apex... It has absolutely nothing to do with BF4 as they promised. Not a love letter to the fans, they spit in our face, they shit on us, they want Warzone and Fortnite kids as their customers, they don't care about the actual Battlefield hardcore fans. I really tried so hard to like BF2042, but I just can't. Even if they fixed all the bugs and glitches, the game itself is just nothing like Battlefield.
