I’ve had these for years and have done a fair few ultras with them. I did use them with the ‘baskets’ on for ages and these are a bit of a pain when trying to reduce the space they take up when folded away. I don’t use a quiver, but use the loops on the front of the Salomon vest I’ve got.
I stepped away from them a while back and have just found them again, in time for a run up Cadair Idris tomorrow. 👌

Exactly what im after recently, will definitely give them a look. They really do help as you said, not only for runners but generally for serious walking and people with mobility/health problems. Thanks for the review. 🔥

I highly recommend them mate.. bought these with my own money and have absolutely no relationship with the brand but they ARE my favourite piece of kit.. forget all the tech and the shoes, these poles were game changing for me ❤️ Poles are great for people with mobility issues, in the clip with me at Pen Y Fan with Mikaela, she was struggling with the hips and knees and the wind nearly blowing her over and using just one pole helped her massively! No worries mates, so many more reviews to come 🔥

Thanks, great shout, I’m up for poles for this years races on technical hills, mountains 🙏 can you get a quiver for them as well.? Thanks

A pleasure mate! Look no further because these poles ARE IT! 🔥 My easiest recommendation on this tech channel. In terms of Quivers.. I’d probably suggest get the quiver that your pack is compatible with. I own the the Montane Gecko VP +20L and the Salomon Adv Skn 12.. I found the Salomon quiver to be slightly annoying on the Salomon pack (weight distribution and swinging around) and actually just preferred the pole attachment elastics already on the packs. After a few training sessions you’ll be able to stow away and erect these poles from the pack in second with a bit of practise 🌟

Top review, and I can only agree with everything you've said on them .... unreal pieces of kit!
My question though, how do you carry them when not using them? You run with a Salomon vest by the looks of it, but as the poles breakdown in 4 smaller sections, rather than the usual 3, I cannot get them to fit in the traditional carrying loops without bouncing loose.
Do you use a quiver? Bottle pocket?

Hey Murphy! Thanks for dropping a comment and supporting the channel! 🔥 Nice to see it’s not just me who’s blown away by these poles!
Nice observation! I’ve used these poles with both the Montane Ghecko 20+ VP vest and the Salomon Adv Skin 12L 2024 edition. A very similar loop attachment on both of them.. I have had the poles slip out of the bottom loop quite a few times per run on each pack for the exact reason you’ve mentioned.. but never out of the top loop because the foam handle stops the poles from slipping down. Usually this can be prevented by just pulling the bottom pole attachment loops really tight (usually get a few hours of running out if it until I need to retighten).. you can get a good fit. I did find though, if I take the pack off and put it on (change of clothes or something) the poles always fell out of that bottom loop. I do also own the Salomon Quiver but for the life of me can’t figure out how people are attaching it. 🤣Eventually the quiver ends up flying around 🤣 I know the quiver weights very little but I’d also rather faff around with poles for a few minutes rather than carry the extra 40g.. not much but for races like the Arc & Spine Race I really was glad to make weight savings wherever I could find them 🔥 I’ve got co-host Abie testing these poles too and she’s never used poles before so it will be interesting to hear her thoughts on Quiver vs No Quiver 🙈 Anyways, Hops this helps ❤️
