  • This is an abridged reading of the introduction to the Loeb Classical Library’s series of Isocrates (born 436 - died 338 B.C.E.) published in 1928 and it is owned by G.P. Putnam’s Sons and William Heinemann Ltd. It is in the public domain and is narrated by Maxwell Lewis Latham M.A. (Hons.) Classical Studies. The words are those of the late Dr. George Norlin and span pages xi-xix of Loeb volume 1.
