This is our final install video for the Rolling Wrench GY6 electronic fuel injection kit. This kit is the first of its kind as far as we know. This kit is designed specifically for the GY6 150cc engine. This kit will come plug and play no welding, cutting or splicing wires of any type. Pre tuned, plug in and go! You will however need to drill a hole in your gas tank for a return fuel line. You must also have a 11 pole stator so it can keep up with the added electronics.

is the return fitting a bolt in valve stem?
Yes :-) just with the core removed and fuel safe o rings

What is the tuneability of going from a stock 150cc, up to 171, 180, and possibly 232? Will this need to be reprogrammed, or will the ECU automatically adjust for the higher displacement?
I'd like to know as well.
BastaGenug it makes a big difference between buying it now for a stock 150cc but having goals and dreams of going bigger. He says at the very beginning "there's a tune, plug and play" but is installing it on a stock GY... I need upgrade options lol

I read that you have to pic the efi kit per size of the motor. So if you buy it with say your stock 150cc and out on a big bore kit you would need to buy a new efi kit that has a bigger mm size. Yes you can tune with it but that's mainly for different exhausts or camshafts.

Yes, you just need to tap into the CDI and connect to the ECU
So this efi kit doesnt have a input for engine RPM? Or did I miss that part?
Yes he connect it to the the spark coil
You can apply a lubricant like grease or WD-40 to slide the hoses on easier
But then they come off easier 😬

I honestly doubt it the only difference might be a small gain mainly you might get a little more consistency if the tune is right be a man stay with the carburetor spend the money on cam,bore, exhaust etc.

I've got 2 questions with regard to this kit. The 4 wire plug from the ECU that you said to short out, is that for an oxygen sensor? And the other question, could this kit be used to make a Euro3 GY6 into a Euro4 compliant GY6?

Yes, it will work on a 250cc motorcycle. As long as it’s a single cylinder. Not multiple throttle bodies.

Will this be "plug and play" for non-ruckus GY6's? e.g. the throttle body would need to point backwards. Also, will hooking it up to the stock airbox require a re-tune?
That is a work in progress as well. We will offer both GY6 and Stock GET motor kits..... It’s been a looooong road. But we are making head way :-)

Hey rolling wench :) watched some of your videos ... i got 1 question do ... i recently bought a Motowell Darox scoot (made in hungary) 49cc 4 stroke EFI scooter , led's and digital dash .. front and rear disk breaks .. its a beauty ... but .. if i want to make it to 80cc ... will the efi system need tuning ?? if i disrestrict it .. it will go about 75 km/h ( it has 2.8 kw power) , thats why i wanna buy a malossi 80cc aluminium engine kitt ... giveme some advice pls :) thx

Nope, the efi system uses a battery to make things work.

@@quademasters249 they sell the exact kit on eBay. He buys Chinese kits and makes a few tweaks and sells it for double price. Motoefi is the eBay seller.

I would love to beta test for you. I'm a 30 year experience mechanic who rides a scooter. Does is interface with a computer or is it pre programmed unit and if so does it flash out trouble codes?

Guys, EFI scares me only because it's something I've never worked with. There's a lot of tech to go wrong.
But on my scooter there seems to be a diagnostic mode... so I guess between the 24month warranty and all that I'll be able to ve ok if something goes wrong.
The upshot is a much more responsive engine. No longer having to tool with jets. Compared to my last 150cc (which my new engine is 170cc) I get a noticeable better fuel mileage. There's no unburnt fuel smell from exhaust and it starts amazingly well.
I'm just nervous if something breaks. It's not like a carb where you can just replace it.
its not as complicated as you think. you will get used to efi very quickly i would even say some carburators are much more complicated then efi.

Real EFI will cost over $1500 minimum that will last for 20 years. Or you can buy chinesium disposable EFI for very cheap and lasts 2 days or 2 years, its a lottery.
You certainly pay for what you get.

This is awesome! Few questions about the fuel pump. Does this kit require the stock GET pump? Most GY6 conversion like mine use the mikuni vacuum pump.
You would only need one fuel pump. The one we supply.
vacuum pumps don't provide enough pressure for an injector.
I have a stock short case gy6 150cc engine and i modified it to my stock pronto moped. I have the gy6 150cc wireharness installed would that be an easy install for my moped or would it diffrent? do to my moped not being a ruckus?
Awesome initiative ! I have only just started playing with 2 strokes, done lots of EFI work on modified cars. This is great, well done !
2 stroke are way better then 4 stokes imo.
2 strokes dont have timing chains, rocker arms, or head valves. Its usually just a piston, jug, and a solid head wirh a spark plug hole.
Its quite amazing design with alot better power curve then 4 strokes.

@@noneshere 4 stroke engine are better since they don’t wear out faster than a greasy ass 2 stroke. A 2 stroke uses too much friction, and thus wears out the engine block quicker. And can overheat quickly which is why you almost never see air cooled 2 stroke engines.
