There will be several different ways of fingering the right-hand part, but generally, if you use your thumb for the bass notes then any convenient fingers for the melody/chord part.
This is a beautiful rendition of bridge over troubled water. I like your version but your tutorial leaves a lot to be desired. You talk too much over your demonstrations and I lose focus because you're talking instead of continuing to demonstrate, but I will learn this version because I love it. I also wish you had shown your strumming and picking hand as well, along with your fretting hand.
Thank you for your very helpful feedback. It's difficult to judge the optimum 'talk-to-play' ratio, so your comments are very welcome. In my more recent tutorials I try to move through the piece more quickly, and the viewer can of course use the pause button if needed. I also now frame the shot to show my picking hand and my fretting hand, but I often think that this may make the fretting hand harder to see on phones/tablets when compared to a shot that shows the fretting hand more close up, but doesn't therefore have 'space' to include the picking hand.
@@easyfingerstyleguitar9755 That is a very valid concern, because I most definitely want to be able to see how to fret a chord correctly and clearly. That is the biggest part of learning. To show how you make the strumming sounds, One suggestion would be to do two parts, one part show completion of the chords on the fretting hand, 2nd part shows both strumming/picking hand along with fretting hand.
@@marycarr7038 Thank you for this suggestion. Hope you have fun learning Bridge. My newer 'framing format' can be seen in this tutorial th-cam.com/video/z7bpeIELLFc/w-d-xo.html
Hi there. I keep the performance and the tutorial seperate for copyright reasons. There is a link to the performance video, and also the tab, in the description.
Thank you for the feedback on the most popular tutorial on my channel. I try to find a balance between not enough explaination, and too much. You are free to download my tab and simply learn it from that if you prefer.
